Jackie is very relaxed and easy going and her home is beautiful with lots of interesting stuff. The room is very comfortable and her dog Maisie is adorable. The house is close to the train station and the Maylands coffee strip, a short train ride into the CBD and a short drive to the river. I had a lovely time and recommend Jackie's for a homestay.

Widya's sister Aini and her husband Ray now live at this address. I had a wonderful stay with them and their 3 lovely kids aged between 13 and 6. They are very hospitable and helpful with advice, and the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The house is on a quick bus route into the CBD but you can walk into town in less than half an hour, the nicest way is through the Roma St Parklands - look for the Eastern water dragons everywhere. If you walk the other way up the hill for 10 mins there's a great cafe along a little strip with a beautiful gift shop and Botanica which does amazing salads and baked goods. The only drawback of this location if you're sensitive to noise is the proximity to 2 major roads - take earplugs as the weekday traffic starts early.
