What a beautiful oasis and home. Joy and Owen are wonderful hosts and it is a shame I did not book longer with them hindsight is a wonderful thing. Next time with husband in the massive so comfortable bed I had. The house interior is worth a visit on its own and goes on and up with large cottage in the back. Michelle was a wonderful, helpful host. San Souci has everything you need and Michelle knows the area and Sydney. I wish I had planned my trip longer with her as Sydney was easy and only took 50 minutes to the centre with bus stop to station outside Michelle's unit/ apartment and about 15 mins from the airport. If I get back to Australia I will definitely stay with Michelle again, such a comfortable double bed. Wonderful stay Thank you X

Lovely villa unfortunately it rained when we arrived only we were able to sit on the veranda and watch Cubian life go by. Mayra cooked us a lovely dinner and the fridge was stocked well with beer and water which you pay for at the end. Air con noisy only better than the dogs barking and the cockerel so it is your choice:) Unfortunately villa is far from the main centre so a taxi is needed and not possible to walk to the centre although possible to walk to the beach and a lot happening around this area. Thank you for saving the day Mayra and contacting Humberto (taxi driver who took us to see Matanzas and then on to Havana) for us regarding my bag such a relief to get it back. Wonderful experience in Matanzas we would stay again and recommend to our family and friends. Thank you, Gwen and Alan x

Thank you also for making us food for our bus journey to Varedero, the sandwiches were lovely. Thank you Olga and Pepe we loved your home, terrace, room and location. We loved Cienfuegos and Hostal San Fernando was in a great position for the main street, the Plaza, the Barry More Centre and the Viazul (bus station). Olga organised a great tour for us to Playa Giron museum, Bay of Pigs, some snorkelling (we could have done a dive only decided not to) ended the day having a lovely lunch recommended by the taxi driver. What a lovely family they looked after us from the day we booked. Taxi organised for us from the airport, cases carried up the stairs, wonderful views, beer and soft drinks in the fridge. Air con, fan and windows either side of the room to let air through. Yuleidi's lovely breakfasts are a must and it is also worth asking for dinner until you find your way around. The location is great next to the busy Obispo street, Revolution museum, Malecon, etc. A lovely view from Yuleidi and Octavia's balcony and watching Cubian life go by below like the bread man in the morning with his whistle. We did not speak Spanish only we managed to understand Yuleidi and Octavio with various ways. We loved them so much we went back to see them on our last day of our holiday in Cuba. Luckily we did as I left my bag with my passport, money etc. in the back seat of the taxi. Yuleidi managed to contact our previous homestay who phoned the taxi driver and thankfully he came back with my bag:) Thank you so much for everything Yuleidi and Octavia I will recommend you to all my friends and family you were wonderful.
