壮观的海滨寄宿家庭 *FE

Anne was very accommodating from the start. She is a lovely, positive person.

Her townhouse was lovely, as was the room. Her "beach house" is just a short staircase up from the waterfront. One could easily swim out from the smooth rocks there.

For me, personally, the main negative was the steep rock stairs from the driveway on Marine Drive down to the beach house. I am awaiting hip replacement surgery and did not expect this.

The bedding smelled of scented laundry detergent. I have environmental allergies to scented products.

And, someone somewhere in the building was boiling beans, and the odour wafted into the bathroom via a vent in its wall. All my clothing, my towel, and my hair smelled like beans until after I washed them again.

I could not find any form of heating in the place, but I am certain Anne has something set up.

The upstairs resident was a tad heavy on her feet in the morning and night. And, on occasion, a very loud thump above my bedroom, which I was told was a rather heavy cat that lived upstairs. I found that amusing after I was told the cause of it!

The next day, two dogs arrived with a friend of Anne's.

These were all surprises that I did not enjoy. I should have asked questions before I rented the room.

I stayed only one night, which is a shame. It is very quiet and peaceful there. I wanted to stay longer, but the stairs and my allergies prevented it.

However, I HIGHLY recommend Anne's for people who aren't bothered by the above!
