Carla is a lovely person, she helped me a lot during my stay, and she picked me up at the airport at 4AM, gave me a bunch of winter clothes and gave me a lot of tips. I loved talking with her and with the other housemates. The room that I stayed in is big, there is a window which allows a good amount of natural light, with enough space to study and feel comfortable. Her house is in a good location, in a calm neighborhood, near Walmart, NoFrills, cinema, malls, and other services. Going to downtown is also easy there are bus stops near where you can reach the subway station. I had a good time! Thank you so much, Carla, wish the best to you and your family! See you next time!

House smelled bad (mix of unwashed dog, mustiness, old cigarettes, and other things I’ve never smelled in my life), I had to buy air freshener and two odour absorbers, my room was freezing, I couldn’t cook because the kitchen wasn’t clean enough, I lived on take out and ate in my car. I didn’t feel comfortable with so many men in the house, too many rules and reprimands from the host about lights, locks, and shining the washroom taps. The two weeks I stayed there seemed like a lifetime and I moved out two days before my stay actually ended.

My stay at Karla's house has been amazing. Karla helped me a lot, right from picking me up at the airport to helping me find the best route to wherever I want to go in Toronto and even in day to day life she helps and guides me in the best way. In our conversations I get to learn a lot of things about Canada and the culture here. She cooks delicious meals, cakes and desserts and I feel like I'm eating at my own home. My experience has been so good that I didn't feel homesick even for a single day. Thank you Karla.
