Excellent stay. The room was comfortable: good bed and lots of light from a large window that can be completely blacked out at night. There is a desk, bureau, and shelves. The shower had plenty of hot water. The apartment is clean and the building secure (including doorman). Nice neighborhood, with everything you'd want or need just around the corner. Easy subway access. The biggest attraction, though, was Mariana, who is well-educated and very generous. Due to my mistake, she didn't get my pre-arrival messages; no matter, she waited. And then welcomed me without prejudgment. She has traveled a lot and understands visitors' needs, providing a converter plug, a map of the city, and a card for the subway. She showed me the neighborhood and surrounding areas, explained some interesting history, and gave recommendations for everything I asked about, from a gym (taking me herself), to a jeweler to mend a broken ring (again, taking me herself for a personal introduction). There were other acts of generosity too numerous to list. And she makes good soup...

Disfruté de mi estancia en Mariana, muy acogedor y amable. Ella me invitó a asistir a una cena de celebración familiar con su dos hijos estudiantes. Ella me ayudó a resolver un problema financiero para cancelar mi tarjeta visa. Je por desgracia no tiene tiempo para ver de nuevo a mi regreso a Buenos Aires como yo esperaba.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mariana's place, very welcoming and friendly. She invited me to participate in a family celebration meal with her two sons. She helped me a lot to solve a financial problem due to the cancellation of my visa card. Unfortunately I did not have time to see her again on my return to Buenos Aires as I had expected.
