We have a four bedroom attached home 2 miles away from Cal State Fullerton and Hope International University. The community has a shared pool and basketball court. There is a bus route not too far from our house. It's about 1.8 miles to other shopping and restaurants. Amazon will deliver most items to our home or to a secure locker across the main road at the City Hall. At home there is the mother and father, a 22 year old recent college graduate, and another child who will be a senior student in high school. The room for rent belongs to our son who is leaving for college at the end of August 2024. The room for rent shares a bathroom with one other bedroom, but that child is only at the house every other week. Our college grad studied abroad in Korea and Japan and can speak both languages well. She is also learning Thai and Chinese. We are looking for a female traveler for this homestay. Dad will often be home during the day. We often look for live music shows to attend and are happy to invite you. We are not far from Disneyland, Angel Stadium, parks, and theaters, but you may need to use Uber or Lyft transportation apps to get around as the public transportation has limits. We can help you get set up on transportation apps and food delivery apps as well.
My daughter loves dancing, going out, and learning crafts. She is more than happy to show guests around and include them in her activities if they are interested.
25% Deposit can be made made through the Homestay's website. Balance due upon arrival in local currency USD. If you request a packed lunch this will typically include a sandwich, chips, fruit or vegetable and drink for $7. We do not eat at home every night, but when dinner is available, the cost will be $8. Please pay weekly in local currency USD.

About the Area
We are in a very quiet neighborhood. The home shares 1 wall with an adjoining neighbor. The community has a pool and basketball court. About 1.8 miles away is a big shopping area where there is a fresh farmer's market every Thursday afternoon, clothing, restaurants, groceries, etc. Two universities are 2 miles away, Hope International University and Cal State Fullerton. Fullerton College (junior college) is just another couple of miles down the road. The City Hall, Library, and Police station are across the main road from our community.

Please be respectful of the guinae pigs. Do not feed or handle them without supervision.
Please do not eat and drink full meals upstairs. Light snacks and water are fine.
Please remove your trash twice a week from the bedroom.
Please hang out with the family and chat with us. We do not bite.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
