I reside in a lovely suburb area on the Main Line called, "Devon" that is known for it's International Devon Horse Show.
The house has a "French" European flair , salmon stucco with stone and wood, with a beautiful yard and two patios. Inside, we have five floors. You will have access to the first floor dining and living rooms. The guest bedrooms and bathrooms are on the second floor. The ground, fourth, and fifth floors are PRIVATE.
There are three guest bedrooms available.
Bedroom 1 - Van Gogh Room: Antique double bed with two antique marble side-tables. Antique vanity, mirror with seat, chair, closet including full-size mirror on inside door, and antique bookcase with center chest of drawers. Color of room is white with bedding blue/white. Picture above bed is Van Gogh's, "Starry Night." Outside view of front yard. Room includes television with cable. Bathroom is shared across the hall.
Bedroom 2 - Antique three-door armoire, with full-size bevelled mirror, drawers and shelves. Antique double bed with wall canopy, one antique side-table, antique vanity with seat, mirror. Color of room is cream with bedding in cream/orange/burgundy - oriental flair. Outside view of front yard. Room includes television with cable. Bathroom is shared down the hall.
Bedroom 3: This is a large bedroom with private shower bathroom. Bedroom has canopy double bed. Chest of drawers, large dresser with mirror, small silk sofa, desk with bookcase, full-size mirror and two closets. Room includes television with cable. Bathroom is private. Has walk-in shower and single sink with window overlooking back yard. The color is cream with décor in silk teal/cream.
I live with my husband, Tom, who works from his home office. He is a German and US citizen. Our daughter resides in London, UK, is a British and US Citizen. As for me, I work as a volunteer with the American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team member, sing as a member of the Junior League of Philadelphia Larks, and volunteer with various other organizations including the upcoming Devon Horse Show which supports Bryn Mawr Hospital.
We will provide you with a lovely, free, continental breakfast during your stay in our dining room. We will be happy to coordinate serving times during your stay.

About the Area
In the western suburb known as "The Main Line."
Our house is located on the west side of Philadelphia in a quiet and safe suburb. We reside on a cul-de-sac and sit on a private, heavily wooded lot.
We are walking distance to the Devon Horse Show facility and approximately 18 miles from Philadelphia and just 30 minutes drive to Philadelphia International Airport.
The Devon Train station is only about an 8 minute walk from the house in which the R5 runs frequent trains to the Philadelphia Convention Center!!!
Additionally, the trains stop at 30th Street, which is where AMTRAK departs/arrives and where you can connect to the Philadelphia International Airport!
If you are coming by car, we are five minutes away from PA Turnpike, 202, 422 and 76.
Close to the city
We are within 10 minutes away to one of the largest shopping malls in the United States called, " King of Prussia Mall." Other local sites within 10 minutes are Valley Forge National Park, Valley Forge Casino, historic Valley Forge Park, Jenkins Arboretum, movie theatres including IMAX, restaurants, walking paths, churches of various denominations, Valley Forge Military Academy, Devon Post Office, Chanticleer Gardens and of course the Devon Train Station!
Although we are walking distance to the Devon Train Station which has frequent trains into and from Philadelphia, we will also provide free, transportation to and from the Devon Train Station and the Devon Horse Show which are both less than 5 minutes away! Again, just ensure to coordinate, a day in advance your request.

House Rules
Please keep our home secure and lock the front door when entering and leaving the house.
Please do not adjust the heat/air settings yourself, ask me and I will happily do it for you.
In respect to other guests, please keep noise to a minimum after 10:00PM during the weekday, and after 11:00 PM on the weekend.
Please do not invite strangers to our home. Only registered guests are permitted.
We will provide you with a lovely, free, continental breakfast during your stay in our dining room. We will be happy to coordinate serving times during your stay.
Please do not keep food in your room. If you require the use of our refrigerator, we will be most happy to make arrangements prior to your arrival.
Although the Devon Train station is walking distance, we will glady provide you with free transportation to and from the Devon Train Station. Just ensure you coordinate your request a day in advance.
This is a non-smoking home with no pets.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
