We are a retired couple who is looking for a quiet and respectful person to stay in our spare room. The room was recently remodeled, cleaned and furnished with a new bed and linens. The bedroom is adjacent to the living quarters and has a remodeled bath with shower. We are walking distance to shops and public transportation, including BART. You can use the kitchen and laundry room, and you can share refrigerator space with us.

About the Area
Our house is located on a quiet residential street that is very safe. We are a ten minute walk to grocery stores, pharmacy and great restaurants. We are also a ten minute walk to bus stops and a 15 min walk to BART and CalTrain. You can take the BART and get to the SFO airport in a few minutes. The closest major shopping mall is a 20 min drive away.

Jane is the best host, super kind and helpful. I felt at home right away. Everything is clean and the room has a lot of privacy. The location was perfect for me and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. I had a great stay, Thank you Jane!

Jane and Walter were wonderful to live with during my time in the Bay area, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
The house itself is in a very peaceful, safe neighborhood and is kept very clean and organized. Jane did her best to provide everything you might possibly need (such as a mini fridge in the room, a microwave/stove, etc. -- she even bought me a shoe rack when she noticed I had a lot of shoes just placed on the floor), and she also welcomed me to use anything else that I might need in her house. Thus, I had the option to stay to myself and have my own privacy since I had all of the essentials and the room has some separation from the rest of the house, but I also had the option to use her kitchen and chat with her throughout my stay.
Jane is also very kind! She would worry that I might not have enough time to cook because of my internship, and she would offer me some food that she and her caretaker cooked whenever they had leftovers. She also took me out to eat dim sum once, and that restaurant was one of the highlights of my trip!
All in all, I really enjoyed living here, and it helped make my experience very memorable! :)

Jane is nice, kind, always ready to help me.
My experience in her place is an unforgettable. My room in her place was spacious, bright, and with all the essential amenities. She will always leave food for me in the fridge whenever she cooks. It makes me feel at home.
The neighborhoods in her house was beautiful, and convenient for traveling in the bay area.September 2022
Jane and Walter were wonderful! The house is kept so clean and the bedroom was perfect. Jane was such a gracious host and introduced me to new food I had never tried. It was a great experience! The location of the house was nice because it was was walking distance to shopping and eating. Overall it was a perfect stay!

Jane and her husband are very kind and warm-hearted hosts who made my stay extremely comfortable. It's possible we got along well because we are all Asian, but I know they have hosted people of all races and I am certain they treat everyone with the same kindness and warmth. The bedroom is comfortable with a desk, a dresser and a closet. The home is very modern and clean and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is not too far from the airport, so, you may hear the airplanes sometimes but it wasn't an issue for me.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
