We live in a beautiful three story brick home in a historic neighborhood in Boston. My husband and I have lived here for almost 20 years. Our rooms are well maintained and we have working fire places in two of our bedrooms. There is a formal living room, dining room, and morning room on the first floor. We also have a large sitting room on the third floor. Our yard is large with a small fountain, a porch, and beautiful landscaping. I am an avid portrait photographer and my husband is an Episcopal priest with varied interests in history and music. We speak English but are comfortable with guests who know little or no English. We have hosted students for a number of years from many countries. We have two spoiled cats and are a non-smoking home. We serve breakfast in our large dining room each day. We are very comfortable having guests make themselves at home. The subway is right around the corner and it takes 15 minutes to reach downtown Boston or you can stay on the same red line subway and reach Harvard Square in about a half an hour. We have room in our yard for parking your car if you rent one.

About the Area
Our home is located about a three minute walk from the Ashmont Subway Station. You can reach Boston's downtown in 15 minutes and Harvard Square Cambridge in 30 minutes. Our neighborhood is safe but urban.

House Rules
Enjoy your stay while respecting our home. You have access to our basement laundry. We will put out clean linens each week but expect you to make your bed. Dirty laundry should be placed in a basket in the laundry room. There is an extra refrigerator available for your use. Do not let our indoor cats out of the house. Use of our kitchen is fine but do clean up after yourself. Use of iron and ironing board is fine but put it away when not in use. Try to be quiet after 11:00 so we can get our sleep. We do have wifi and are happy for you to use it.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
