About the Area

I live on my own near Bolton, UK . On the edge of the West Pennine Moors and overlooked by Rivington Pike, with lush forests, waterfalls and river. My home is right in the centre of town, in a clean, and comfortable apartment, with a sun facing balcony. My neighbours are lovely and helpful. The town has a lot of shops and cafes, many of which are locally owned. Horwich is between Manchester, Liverpool, and the Lake District. Manchester city centre is only 20 minutes away!

I would say that I am all well-educated, well-travelled, kind, adventurous and humorous person, who loves animals, nature and creativity. Most days I will do something creative, for example play an instrument, and learn martial arts. I often go for walks in the countryside or go for a bike ride. I work online as an English teacher three days a week in the mornings. Any other time I am free to spend time with my guest!

I love to do anything sporty so whatever is available I will be happy to do with the student. The student is free to use anything in my home. I have a drum kit, a guitar, films and games, lots of different ingredients for cooking. I have a relaxing, sun facing balcony. Forest walking is right outside. A bicycle is always available.

I will benefit from hosting because I love to meet new people from around the world and exchange ideas and experiences. I have been teaching EFL for eight years, in-class, online and in summer camps in the UK! I have learnt allot about the different activities there are to do whether it’s educational, fun, or both! My English lessons include a test to determine the students level, English books and classroom games to keep learning fun and interactive, for example role playing, debates, quizzes or guess who. I use classroom props, side projects and topical conversation material. I use allot of encouragement, rewards and aim to keep the lessons interesting.
