Lovely Victorian house (20 min train/car journey to Liverpool centre ). Fantasy decor. Near beach and train station. You can stay in all the rooms pictured. One room has en-suite bathroom and the other is next to a shared bathroom. We have mirrored dance studio for rehearsal/yoga/fitness etc.

We have wifi.

The house is clean, comfortable yet sensual. We are not minimalists! If you like chrome, neutral interiors and bright new shiny things, this home is not for you.

You can hire suite of rooms -Large living space and bedroom with en suite , which is separate from the rest of the house.

We live right by the train station which provides regular trains to the heart of Liverpool center (20 minute journey).

We would like people to stay with us who appreciate the unusual decor of our home, who appreciate art and culture and who feel a resonance with the space,

We are vegetarian bohemians. People from alternative, creative LGBT and diverse backgrounds are welcome. We do not allow any hate talk about minorities in our home and we need our guests to feel the same. Please don't come if you like to hate minorities, kill animals for fun, or are generally disrespectful.

Where we live is right by beautiful beaches and walks. You can experience the lively and cultural city of Liverpool, yet also experience the peace and serenity of staying in a quiet, seaside residence.

Our house is central to the best art galleries outside London. Other attractions are the beautiful, famous sunsets , skylines and all the many attractions the buzzing and cultural city of Liverpool has to offer. The historic town of Chester is 45 minutes away. An hours drive and you are in Wales with its castles and countryside. A walk away we have quality dining as well as affordable bohemian eateries, from a variety of restaurants (Some on the seafront).

Ishtar was born and brought up in central Liverpool and knows much about the history of the place, as well as being able to recommend cool places to go.

Ishtar is a dancer (also musician and writer.) and her partner is is involved in creating sustainable communities. (although he has a background in film.) Their daughter may also be around, she is studying genetics in London. The family have a Chihuahua (Fifi) , They also have very friendly and sweet snakes called Bashar and Xenia, who are kept upstairs in a secure vivarium (so no need to see if you don't like snakes)!

Kids are welcome, but this house is not set up for young children. Some of the artwork is mildly erotic. We may consider small, well-behaved dogs or cats.

We have a small walled 'fairy' garden, you may smoke out there but not in the house.

We will need you to pay cash on arrival Please.

Short review - Do you need a comfortable place to stay in Liverpool which is 25-26 minutes away from the City Centre (includes a 3 minute walk from the station to house)? Do you want the owner to be relaxed and non-fussy? Do you want the area to be safe?
If your answer is yes for the above question, this place is for you.

    Long review -

So I really enjoyed my stay here. The house is very creatively done up by Paula who was a delight to speak to. She made me feel very welcome and was very relaxed.

The house is a 3 minute walk from the New Brighton station (A return train ticket cost me about GBP 3.5 from James Street Station). The train ride is quite pleasant as well.

The sea-side is a 6 minute walk from the house and is perfect for a morning walk.
Breakfast was a variety of cornflakes, fruits, tea/coffee and bread. Nothing out of the world but solid stuff to start your day with.

The interior of the house is really unique and you may have a "whoa" moment when you see for the first time, especially if you are a minimalist. I quite enjoyed it since it was a complete change from the bland impersonal places you see sometimes.
My room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

    Hope to visit again soon.
