We have 2 grown up children who have flown the nest so now it's just me, my husband and our 2 little dogs.
I work in the summerhouse at the bottom of our garden doing my husbands bookkeeping a couple of days a week.
My husband runs his own business and is out of the house most of the day.
Our house is situated in a quiet road 15 minute walk to the train station with direct lines into London (About 50 minute journey).
We are a five minute walk along a footpath to Belfairs Country Park which has a golf course surrounded by woods and offers pitch and putt, horseriding, bowling, a restaurant and tea rooms.
We are a 10 minute walk from Lovely Leigh On Sea, a small town full of quirky unique little shops, bars and restaurants. Another 5 minutes walk will take you to Old Leigh fishing village with 3 pubs, seafood stalls, a couple of shops and a beach. A lovely place to visit.
20 minutes on the bus from the stop at the top of our road would take you into Southend On Sea, a busy seafront town. Southend also has a shopping centre, University and an airport.
I own a horse which I keep at a yard 15 minutes away which I visit everyday.
We both play tennis and my husband is a member of a local club.
We have a newly decorated guestroom available, not huge but it fits a double bed, dressing table and a chair. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room. It has an en suite wet room, toilet and basin. We have a room directly below it which we call the snug. This room has a TV, comfy suite and a log burning fire and would be available to you.

About the Area
Our house is located a 10 minute drive from Southend Airport, an hour from Stansted and an hour and a half from Gatwick and Heathrow. A bus runs directly from the airports and stops about a 5 minute drive from our house,

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
