Hello. I have created a lovely home and enjoy welcoming people from all over the world.
My apartment is situated near beautiful Pentland hills which you can admire from the sunny seated balcony. There is a bus stop close by where there are frequent buses that only take 15-20 minutes to the beautiful cultural centre of Edinburgh.
The room is a bright double bedroom which has a desk for study and a built in wardrobe, there is a shared bathroom/shower and toilet, a large attractive modern open plan kitchen dinning/living room with computer area and there is a patio door to the balcony. I Have a private garden also where like to garden and have barbecues weather permitting. There is also plenty space for keep your bicycles or you can borrow mine for a small fee.
I work full time gardening.

About the Area
My home is situated in a calm green residential area south of Edinburgh city centre.
There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away, the day time bus services run frequently and there is an hourly night bus which takes only 15-25 minutes to get to the centre of Edinburgh
10 minutes by bus you can get to the popular village like Morningside and Brunsfield areas where there are plenty of lovely wee specialist and boutique shops, trendy cafes and bars. If you like hill walking cycling or would like to learn to ski there are the Pentland hills just a few minutes away.
There are a few small grocery shops, supermarkets, takeaways, post offices that are only a few minutes walk away.

I love to keep my apartment clean and tidy and very happy to share the living space if you keep areas you use clean tidy at all times after use.
I like to live a reasonably quite untroubled life so keeping noise to a minimum after midnight is important.
Please do not invite strangers into my home. If you would like to invite a trusted friend you must have my consent in advance and I charge an extra if staying over.
Ensure that the apartment is safe and secure by ensuring the front door is firmly locked and when going out nothing that can cause an electrical fire is left on.
Please make yourself at home and enjoy your stay. If there is anything you need help with just ask as I am always happy to help if I can.

Lovely to stay with Joanna in her comfortable spare bedroom. Just like home. I could prepare breakfast and dinner in the kitchen, which was handy. You have to love dogs because there are two in the apartment. Supermarket is a five minute walk. Three bus services bring you in 30-40 minutes (depending on the traffic) to Edinburgh's city centre.

Joanna was a great host, I was able to speak with her before my visit and make arrangements to be collected from the airport, at Joanna's suggestion. She was friendly and welcoming on my arrival and gave me a brief tour of the centre of Edinburgh pointing out places of interest. Joanna's home is a bus ride away from the city centre and the bus stop is a minutes walk from her home.
The room I occupied was decorated beautifully and had the comfiest bed.
Joanna told me to make myself at home and offered the use of her kitchen. She made space in her cupboard and fridge for my food items.
Joanna was chatty and happy to sit and converse, but equally happy to let me do my own thing, never pushing her company on me and this made the stay very comfortable.
We shopped for food items together and decided to share christmas lunch and new years lunch together, this was very pleasant, in fact we ate out together on two occasions also.
Joanna was happy to allow me to wash some laundry whilst I stayed and this was a huge help.
Joanna's dogs are very gentle and quiet, older dogs who were no trouble to me at all.
All in all the stay at Joanna's exceeded my hopes for an enjoyable Christmas in Scotland.
I would definitely recommend Joanna's home as a solid base for a visit to Edinburgh.Host reply

What can I say? Moved to Edinburgh, needed a place to stay for a few days and I could not ask for something better. Staying with Joanna (and her 2 beautiful who are lovely, by the way) was an amazong experience. The home is great, cozy, confortable. Joanna is a really caring person, loved our conversations and definitly will keep in touch. I recommend to everyone. She's the best.

Mon séjour chez Joanna s'est très bien passé car Joanna est très agréable, respectueuse et joyeuse. Son appartement est beau, la chambre est assez grande, confortable et lumineuse. Et, elle est placée dans un quartier calme ayant un supermarché à proximité pas cher. En plus, elle n'est pas loin du centre ville, à 18/20 minutes en bus et l'arrêt de bus se trouve à une minute de sa maison. Les bus circulent assez souvent dans la journée ainsi que la nuit.

Vielen Dank an Joanna, die eine sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und entspannte Vermieterin war. Sie hat mich herzlich aufgenommen und alles war unkompliziert. Die Wohnung ist sauber, mit viel Liebe dekoriert, das Zimmer klein, aber fein.
Die Kommunikation mit Joanna im Vorfeld war auch sehr gut. Alle Fragen hat sie schnell beantwortet.
Die Wohnung liegt zwar nicht im Zentrum der Stadt, aber die Bushaltestelle ist direkt um die Ecke und alles ist per Bus sehr gut zu erreichen.October 2022

Joanna was a very friendly, hospitable host throughout my stay. The apartment is a pleasant place to stay and nicely situated so that travel is easy whether you're going into town or for a walk in the countryside. Overall I enjoyed my experience and would recommend to others.
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile.
