We live in the lovely traditional suburb of Trinity, which is in the north of the city of Edinburgh. We have lived here for many years and know the neighbours well, its a very safe part of the town, but also very easy to get around. Our flat is within a very small private development which is right next to Victoria Park which has public free tennis, football and basketball courts, and the famous Edinburgh Walkways which mean you can walk into the City centre in 25 minutes. In fact you can see lovely green trees through all our windows with no passing traffic! There is one double en-suite shower room available within our home. Each room has its own lock on the door. We have one dog who is very lively but friendly. A light breakfast is available as part of your price and this includes cereal, tea/coffee and/or toast. I am also a TEFL teacher and happy to help with your conversation or homework.
There are several regular buses into the city centre which takes less than 20 minutes. You are welcome to live with us as part of our family :) Please feel free to ask anything else you need to know.

About the Area
Our house is located on the north side of the city in a quiet and safe suburb. We are 3 km from the city centre and only 30 minutes drive from the airport.
The bus stop is only 2 minutes walk from the house and there are lots of bus options using this stop.
The area is very close to trendy Leith and The Shore where the ship Britannia is berthed, and an easy 15 minute bus ride into the city centre.

I really had a wonderful time, Margaret and her beautiful family have been most welcoming and truly made me feel at home. The house is lovely and in a very quiet neighborhood, and if you don’t mind walking there’s an Asda superstore just a couple of bus stops away. The room was warm, very clean and the wifi worked pretty well. Overall an unforgettable first look at the Scottish hospitality!
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
