I live with my husband in a 4 bedroomed maisonette which has a veranda over looking the old harbour and a beach. The property is 10 minutes, by car, from Cardiff International Airport. It is two minutes walk from a bus stop and five minutes walk from the local railway station. It is 15 minutes by train into central Cardiff.
Barry Island, on which there is an amusement park and another beach, is a 10 minute walk.
We can, by prior arrangement, collect from and drop off, to the airport.

About the Area
Our house is in Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan, a conservation area with beautiful views and amazing walks. Opposite the house is a secluded park which runs along the Cold Knap and beyond is the old harbour and the beach. The harbour is tidal, on the edge of the Bristol Channel, and has boat wrecks which can be approached when the tide is out.
Barry Island is ten minutes away with a beach, an amusement park, cafes and restaurants.
The local shopping centre is ten minutes walk away and caters to all tastes. Barry town centre is a further ten minutes away

What a delightful, charming, helpful, genuine and kind couple Agnes and Ian are. We left with large smiles on our faces because we had an amazing weekend in Cardiff and Agnes and Ian were the proverbial cherry on the cake.

we stayed with agnus and ian for 3 days.. really lovely people very welcoming and couldnt do enough to make us welcome and comfortable.. lovely clean home. had a great time during our stay. we will defo be staying with them again when we down that area again..

Agnes was very helpful and kind. When we arrived, she offered us tea and a snack. There room was spacious...and the bedside pitcher of water and glasses, very pretty. During breakfast we had a lovely chat. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Absolutely nice host!! Agnes was so kind and sweet with us. Her house is clean and very tipical of England. It's 2 minutes walk from the stop to Cardiff Centre. I would recommend it.

Agnes and her husband Ian are very friendly hosts. Agnes provides a light breakfast of cereal and toast taken at the table in her family kitchen. She sat and chatted with us at breakfast and really made us feel at home. I understand the double room we rented is due to be decorated and will be a welcome improvement but I must say the bed was amazingly comfortable so we had a great night's sleep. Take a lightweight dressing gown as the loo and separate bathroom are down two flights of stairs. Would definitely stay with her again. Such a lovely lady!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
