Monte das Aranhas is a family project that started in 2010. Located in "Aranhas", between Vimieiro and Estremoz, it can certainly fulfill all your requirements for a calm and fun holiday. Monte das Aranhas is a small wine estate (14 ha) inserted in a region rich in cultural, gastronomic and wine terms, the Alto Alentejo.
Due to its distancing characteristics and small population, Alentejo has all the conditions for the virus not to spread. Incidentally, the numbers convey this reality. However, the isolation and peace of the countryside are factors that are increasingly valued in the troubled days that we all live.
Monte is in the municipality of the beautiful and interesting city of Arraiolos and about 10 km from the village of Vimeiro and the city of Estremoz where there are supermarkets, restaurants and the peculiar Saturday Market with an antiques and agricultural fair. It is also a great place to discover the immense riches of the Alto Alentejo region. However, calm and rural beauty are the adjectives that best define our Monte. One of the houses we rent is the Casa Agrícola next to Casa Mãe; it has two bedrooms with a double bed and air conditioning, a small bedroom with a bunk bed and a living room with a TV. It has a dining room, a small kitchen and a bathroom. It has a private porch for exclusive use. It is fully equipped in terms of kitchen utensils and home textiles. It has a small private garden of 150m2 with porch, tables, deck and barbecue. The swimming pool and its large garden of more than 2000 m² around it are shared with Casa Mãe; naturally all privacy and social distance can and should be maintained.
We only rent two houses. The 'internet' is broadband and a router is available for each house. Telework is possible.
Monte das Aranhas is an animal-friendly accommodation, which implies the individual responsibility of the owners for their stay.
The property is fenced and is located about 2 km from the main road (EN4) and with other dwellings nearby. Animals are welcome and home textiles are provided.
A strict security protocol has been put in place to protect everyone. You can enjoy all the benefits of Monte: gardens, swimming pool, bicycles, barbecue, porches, walks.
We are complying with all sanitizing and cleaning protocols appropriate to the new reality we live in and in accordance with DGS recommendations. We are a certified "Clean and Safe" accommodation and we respect all hygiene and safety protocols.
Check-in after 4 pm and check-out before 10 am. The capacity of the houses are 6 people each.
The houses are independent with private gardens and barbecues, but with a large common pool area where social distance can and should be maintained.
The pool is salt water and chlorine production is carried out naturally.
The environment among the vineyards is enchanting, inviting for walks and enjoying unique moments.
Monte das Aranhas is an environmentally friendly Agritourism with global sustainability and regeneration practices aimed at preserving life on the planet for future generations.
Given the pandemic situation, we only offer full rentals for the Houses and without breakfast.

About the Area
From Lisbon, take the "Vasco da Gama" bridge, Then the A2 to the south and Then the A6 to Spain. Exit Montemor / Arraiolos and than take the N4. At Km 131, after the Vimieiro. Just take right and follow the signs.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
