Welcome dear future guests,
We are happy to share our house with those who want to visit this wonderful island - S.Miguel.
We live in a farm bought eight years ago to a very intelligent, friendly and special man, who decided to sell the farm, because he could not work anymore, due to the difficulties of his age.
Now, we are recovering gradually old fruit trees and replacing those that have completed their life cycle. We decided to convert the farm to organic production more environment friendly.
We have some farm animals: chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and three female dogs. Guests can feed the animals, if they want.
The farm is located on the board of Ribeira Grande and belongs to the parish of Rabo de Peixe, although, it is a bit far away from the center and it is isolated and in a very quiet area with beautiful views of the sea and mountains.
We are near the three cities of the island: Ribeira Grande is six km far, Lagoa is also about six kilometers far and Ponta Delgada is around 10Km.
If you book our accommodation, it is necessary to rent a car and it will be easier to visit the interesting spots of the island.
If necessary, we can meet the guests at the airport.
We offer a large bedroom with double bed in the house where we live. Guests have their private bathroom.
Guests can use the kitchen and its utensils, but should leave it in the same cleaning conditions as they found it. Sitting room and laundry can also be used.
Guests can eat fresh eggs from our chickens and ducks and they can also eat fruit caught by them.
Inside the house we have two female cats.

Please keep our home secure and double-lock the front door when entering and leaving the house
Feel free to use the kitchen but please clean up after!
Keep noise to a minimum after 22:00 please.
Please do not invite strangers into our home; if you would like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance.
Please enjoy your stay and treat our house as you would your own home!

Tuvimos una estancia-experiencia con Guida y Jorge genial¡¡ los anfitriones son muy simpáticos y amables, y el alojamiento es muy bonito y cuidado, lo tienen todo muy bien pensado para que tu estancia sea cómoda y tranquila. muy bien comunicado con con la carretera entre la costa norte y sur, a 5 min de ribera grande y 15 de punta delgada¡¡
Además el sitio es genial, parece una selva¡¡ con muchas plantas y animales sueltos, gallinas, patos, kiwis y plátanos conviven perfectamente¡¡ comimos unos huevos y unos plátanos buenísimos¡¡ además tienen 3 perritos muy muy simpáticos y cariñosos que te acompañarán siempre que estés por su patio y siempre con mucho respeto¡

Nous avons été superbement accueillis par un couple très sympathique, par des gens simples, sans chichi et ayant un grand sens de l'autodérision; la chambre est spacieuse (environ 25m carré), avec une Salle de Bains totalement indépendante et de belle superficie également; nous avons pu sortir tard le soir sans crainte de les déranger car il y a aussi une entrée indépendante pour cette dite chambre et sa salle de bains, mais en étant respectueux bien sûr de leur tranquillité; le petit-déjeuner inclus est, comme stipulé, simple, mais franchement très correct, sachant que la location elle-même est quand même très démocratique; alors avoir en plus ce petit-déjeuner inclus, faut pas en demander trop! Un seul tout petit bémol: leur maison est quand même un peu isolée, mais en même temps très bien protégée, tant pour vos biens que pour votre voiture, indispensable pour séjourner à Sao Miguel, si vous voulez profiter de cette magnifique île.
Dans tous les cas, leur maison est assez facile à trouver, moyennant l'explication qui vous ait donnée avant votre arrivée. Ponta Delgada se trouve à environ 13KM, via une autoroute assez rapidement accessible depuis leur maison. L'accès est toutefois étroit, mais c'est ainsi sur toute l'île, où il y a des rues d'une étroitesse stupéfiante.
Nous recommandons vivement cette location, et nous ne manquerons pas d'y séjourner à nouveau quand nous retournerons sur cette île magique.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
