Internet sehr schlecht, teilweise gar kein Empfang.

Ana was very welcoming and the studio was very comfortable. I did not see much of Ana since the studio has its own entrance and I was usually out every day, anyway. This makes the stay very private. It was very clean and more than suitable for my needs. It was nice to be able to do some basic cooking and make coffee so that there was no need to go out to eat unless you wanted to.
The town of Praia Areia Branca is very small. There is frequent bus services, but the scheduling can be awkward for day trips. In many cases, you must first go back into Lisbon, then out again to your destination, which may mean that you can't get back. Unless you are there for the surfing or as a relaxing retreat from the world, it would be easier to have a car. There is a place in town that rents cars and scooters. I was there in March and April, and except for weekends when the town becomes invaded, you can pretty much walk down the middle of the road. There was only three restaurants open that time of year. (Tasse Bem makes excellent hamburgers) and a small mini mart for shopping. The nearest town is Lourinha, which has everything else needed but is 3 km away. There is no train service. None of this is negative, but it is good to know depending on what you are looking for. The town is quite modern and the beach is lovely and only about a 4 minute walk from the studio. I would imagine it would be busier in the summer. Not for those seeking night life, but great for quiet enjoyment. I would happily recommend Ana's studio.
