We are a mature couple that live in a 4 bedroom apartment in the beautiful Belém.

Our spacious apartment is on the 5th floor with elevator and has excellent sun exposure with fabulous views of the river from the balcony. It is located in an area within walking distance to the famous Belém Tower, Jeronimos Monastery and Pastéis de Belém which sells the best traditional custard pies "Pastel de Nata" . There are also plenty of parks such as Adjuda Botanical Gardens which has stunning views and is just 5 minutes walk from the apartment. There are numerous cafes and restaurants to enjoy the laid back Portuguese way of life

About the Area

Our apartment is in the historic and fascinating area of Belem, 5km southwest of the city centre and a 20 minute drive from the airport.
This neighbourhood is located at the mouth of the River Tagus, it is packed with monuments, museums and many of Lisbon's "must see" spots. Belem was the launching point for many sea voyages during Portugal's Age of Discovery. Beautiful views can be enjoyed of Belem Tower from the our balcony and the surrounding area.
The bus stop is directly outside the door and there are lots of bus options using this stop. Cais de Sodre can be reached in 20 minutes and there is a direct train line from Belem station to the famous seaside resort of Cascais passing the beautiful golden sands beach of Carcavelos.
"Continente" supermarket/bakery is just a one minute walk, (97m) open 7 days a week 8.30-21.00 also has lovely breakfast options. El Corte Ingles supermarket is 5 minutes walk (400M) all local amenities are very close by and plenty of restaurants to visit.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
