We are a family that will help you have a comfortable trip and you feel in a family atmosphere, we will also help you plan your stay in Arequipa Colonial, Arequipa Campiña, Colca Canyon, Salinas Huito salt, Quequeña Valley, Colca Canyon, Peninsula of Capachica and Amantaní Island - Puno.

La Casona Moya have a Colonial architecture and beginnings of the Republic of the XVI and XVII centuries, we are the third generation that lives in it, it is located three blocks from the Plaza de Armas; We have a large main patio where there are four tables with chairs, games: pingpong and table football. A cafe-bar lounge, where you can receive pisco sour classes and explain how the INCA culture developed. Our rooms are spacious with a height of 5 meters, Oregon pine wood floor, preserved doors and windows, with private bathrooms, hot water with a solar energy system.

Prior coordination, you can share your experience and knowledge about international economy issues or your country, as well as finance and scientific research projects at the Technological University of Peru, where I work as a teacher.
Have a good conversation where I will tell you about the INCA culture and Pre-INCAS cultures.
You can learn the Spanish language. Also receive classes in typical Arequipeña cuisine and cocktails based on pisco.

About the Area

The house is located in the heart of the colonial city of Arequipa, our guests can start the tour of the colonial center in the Mercado San Camilo, which is two blocks to the right of the Casona, in the Market can appreciate the variety of potatoes and fruits from the southern zone of Peru, as well as enjoying delicious fruit juices with many combinations and flavors. Then advancing one block to our Misti Volcano, one block to the left (entrance in front of the Old Palace police station), you can enter the Company's Cloisters, side of the Church of the Company, in these Cloisters you will appreciate three courtyards with portals and all the construction in ashlar. Then you can visit our magestuoza Cathedral and Main Square, in the Cathedral you can see an organ that works with boilers of this there are three in the world, a pulpit carved in a single tree trunk that is Luzbel. Then directing to the street La Merced 1st block, you can enter the Juanita Mummy Museum (with entrance payment) half block from the Main Square; where they will appreciate our Andean princess offered to the Apus who take care of our Mamacocha. Then you can visit going up to the Miste two blocks, the Church and Plaza de San Francisco, next to the Plaza is the Municipal Museum and El Fundo del Fierro where you will appreciate our crafts in Sillar and Bronze as well as looms. In the afternoon visit our Convent of Santa Catalina, recommended to visit it between 16 o'clock so you will appreciate the convent in the light of day and artificial light that highlights the architecture of the convent. The House of Moran and the Santa Teresa Convent are also highly recommended. As well as the traditional neighborhood of San Lazaro which is located behind the Plaza de San Francisco and crossing the Grau Bridge, the Yanahuara viewpoint.

    We had a really great stay. We arrived at 5 am, hours ahead our check in and Gonzalo opened his door to us immediately! Very excellent!!

How do I book?

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries).
