We have a lovely large house in the central suburb of Ellerslie.
With 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, two lounges over two levels there is plenty of space :)
Enjoy having your own space or join in with us.
We are a fun loving easy going couple that love meeting and helping people.
We are well travelled and love learning about different cultures.
Mia 13yrs old and Katie 10yrs old live with us every second weekend - gorgeous little people that love our Homestay guests.
We also have a cat named Poppy, she is a little shy and a doggy called Jazz who loves cuddles and entertainment :-)
We are close to the bus routes and to the motorway.
If you have a car we are a 20 minute drive to the airport and a 10 minute drive to the city.

Verity and Karl were very welcoming into their family. The bedroom was comfortable and adjacent sit room / bathroom / garden well designed and set-up. We shared kitchen space & some meals. A perfect home stay! Ellerslie was an uninspiring suburb accessed by poor public transport and adequate supermarkets. Overall, a highly recommended home away from home. Thanks Verity and family!

I cannot recommend Verity's homestay enough! I immediately felt comfortable and at home when I arrived. The room was by far the best room I've stayed in during my time in NZ. The bed was comfortable, the AC was a godsend, and there was ample storage to keep clothes or other belongings. The rest of the house was incredibly clean and functional. There is a downstairs lounge just for the homestay guests with a fridge, microwave, large couch and smart TV. All of this was made even better by how friendly and interesting Verity and Carl are. You can tell they truly care about their homestay guests. Their dog Jazz was also such a joy to play with! I would rate 6/5 hearts if possible!

Verity (& Karl, Jazz + Poppy) is the best host I could've ever asked for. Moved to NZ & needed a place to stay for 2 weeks before moving into my apartment - my entire stay from start to end was absolutely perfect and I felt beyond welcomed & loved! Verity is the most supportive, sweetest, warmest person you'll meet, she always makes sure that the house is tidy & clean and frequently checks in to make sure everything is okay. The other people staying at her place were super friendly & nice as well, the house itself is beautiful with the common areas & garden, Poppy
is the cutest, cuddly cat & Jazz the dog is my favorite bundle of energy. I'd come back any time if I need a place to stay again in Auckland (also: the bus stop with a connection to CBD is literally right in front of the house which makes the location super handy!) and I miss all of you already! Fantastic people, can’t recommend these folks enough. Super friendly, they make you feel like one of their friends staying for the weekend - or however long you plan to kick around! Honest, laid back and reliable; this is the HomeStay you’re looking for.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
