I truly enjoyed my stay with Tomoko-san. My sister and I stayed for 27 nights and we felt that was too short! There is so many fun things to do in Japan and even more fun things to do in Tachikawa. Tachikawa is about an hour from Tokyo but sometimes only 30 minutes depending on the train and area you're going to. Tachikawa is a great residental area with lots of great food in walking distance, a great supermarket called Summit, and several convenience stores nearby. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the closest train station. I chose to stay in Tachikawa because you can get away from the hectic pace of Tokyo if you want but also go into it at your choosing. Tomoko-san is such a sweetheart and makes you feel like part of the family. She feeds you breakfast and dinner so you can save money on dining out. Her meals are so nutritious and delicious. I always looked forward to when we would get a new guest because we would have a feast. Her food was so great adjusting back to my country's food has been difficult. She has 4 sweet cats that will talk to you and let you pet them. They are very sweet and will come visit you in your room if you leave your door open. The bathroom is very nice and has a temperature control. The toilet is a fancy bidet which so nice and hygenic that I have to get one at home now. The room we stayed in was nice and spacious. Tomoko-san has guests in her other rooms so you won't be in the stay alone. That concerned me at first because in my country you have to worry about theft. But even though the doors didn't lock I never felt unsafe and my items were never disturbed. Tomoko-san also graciously accepted my concerns and offered alternatives to keep my items safe if I wanted. Tomoko-san is very funny and helpful. She helped us with our heavy baggage when we left and sent us several links for restaurants and fun activities. She spends her time and goes out of her way to make sure each guest is prepared and has a nice stay. I was concerned about having other guests in the house but everyone eats dinner and breakfast together so it's a great place to meet new people and make friends. We would trade stories and tips so it was like a hostel without it being too crowded. It was nice to meet new people and hear their experiences. My favorite feature is the bathhouse right across the street. That's reason enough to book her stay. I probably showered at the bathhouse more nights than I did in the house bathroom. It has 3 hot tubs and a nice shower area. I went to kinosaki onsen village and I prefer her bathhouse to all the ones I visited! The owner is very sweet and will help you with buying your ticket for the bath. I wish we had more bathhouses over here! I had a lot of fun and made a lot of good memories in Japan at Tomoko-san's house. I hope to come back soon. If you look at her reviews she makes everyone she meets feel like family. Thank you for the great time Tomoko-san. I'll miss you!

I was at Tomoko for 3 nights with 9yo daughter, we had a great time there. Tomoko was very helpful in telling us how to get there and places to go. We really enjoyed the time and the conversations at breakfast and dinner. She also taught some Japanese to my daughter and she was very happy about that. Also, we had to leave early in the morning and she made a little breakfast take away for us. It was a great experience.

I was at Tomoko for 9 days, the best time ever. Tomoko is such a warm person who helps you with every question and uncertainty. I really enjoyed the time and the conversations at breakfast and dinner. It was more than an overnight place, it was exchange, friendship, learning from each other, and being completely yourself. I thank Tomoko for this unforgettable time and will definitely come back!!!

Highly recommended Staying here in Japan was the best decision of my life. The five days seemed to have passed so quickly that the time felt so short. Along the way, I learned to live with it. The room was very nice. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Dana and Andrzej for joining us. If you are planning to choose this place, I would definitely recommend it. Tachikawa, not far from Tokyo, has a lot to see. I gave it a 10 out of 5 and highly recommend it to all my friends who read this review.

My stay with Tomoko was very pleasant. I'll miss my breakfast and dinners. I find myself looking forward to getting back for her home-cooked dinners. Tomoko has great cooking skills. She creates each meal with care. I was rewarded with different dishes during my week of feasting there. Not only does she make delicious healthy meals, she's also very caring. With her guide, I felt confident going on adventures by myself. She gives precise instructions with the directions. Tomoko goes above and beyond as a host. The airlines I was scheduled to fly on sent me an email in Japanese. Without hesitation, Tomoko translated the email to me and even helped me complete the questionnaire. Tomoko's four cats are a delight. They're always in attendance, and one particular kitty loves to chat. If I have another chance, I'd love to stay here again. Thank you, Tomoko. Love and hugs to you and your fur babies. Tell them to 'paw' me

Choosing this homestay was the best decision in my life especially when this is my first time traveling in my life. Tomoko made me feel like I was in a home away from home and honestly was very irreplaceable to me during my trip. Her cooking is amazing and I love how she introduces her guests to new foods. I also love how she interacts with all of her guests during breakfast and dinner because it makes me feel like I'm part of her family. A week of my trip was away in Kyushu and although I enjoyed that trip I felt something was missing which was having someone to talk to during breakfast and dinner. Having Tomoko enhanced my experience and all of my future trips in Tokyo will be using her homestay :) I will come back soon!

I really enjoyed my stay with Tomoko. She cooked delicious meals and it was wonderful to enjoy those while she shared information about Japanese culture and helped me pick some places to visit during my trip.

The cats were all so friendly and very loved in their home with Tomoko.

The home is very close to public transport and Tomoko gave very helpful directions.
