About the Homestay
I enjoy meeting people from all around the globe and sharing good times with them.
I'd be very happy if I could be of any help during / even before your stay.
So feel free to ask anything - getting around in Japan, learning Japanese, experiencing Japanese cultures and what not. ( I offer cooking lessons for about 2000 yen to 3000 depening on what we cook and free Kimono/ Yukata experience for those who stay with us more than 6 nights. )
With our guests, we enjoy talking, exchanging cultures and sometimes partying or eating out.
I hope all our guests know more about our culture and like our country even better.
During your stay, I prepare two meals ( full breakfast and dinner included ) every day and clean your rooms and do your laundry regularly.
We have a separate bathroom only for our guests' use.
We have free unlimited WiFi throughout our house. Besides that we also have mobile Wi-Fi to rent out by the day on a first-come, first-served basis. This enables you to get the internet connection everywhere, which solves the inconvenience most foreigners are likely to experience while in Japan.
There are three supermarkets nearby, one within one minute walk, another within five minutes and the other in about a seven minute walk.
One is 24/7 and the others are open till 11pm and midnight.
Our city is located in the west of central Tokyo with the train station which has one of the largest numbers of passengers in Japan.
It has a big shopping area where you can enjoy a different kinds of shops, restaurants and even a huge national park nearby.
Many mangas are taking place and movies were shot here in our city.

Tomoko was such an amazing host!! She is very welcoming and kind; you will feel at home right away. If it is your first time at Japan, I especially recommend her home, as she will help you a lot with navigation, cultural differences, etc. Her breakfasts and dinners were always very delicious too. If you are traveling alone, like I did, I think it is a great idea to choose her home over a private lodging, such as a hostel. Being able to talk to her and the other guests about what we did that day, it is something I realized I underappreciated a lot. Definitely want to come back in the near future!!
Very helpful and friendly. Good atmosphere between the host and the other guests in the house.
Tomoko is a wonderful host. All the food was delicious. She made numerous recommendations of things to do. She was also very helpful with other things like finding and calling a nearby gym for me to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in and helping me figure out luggage forwarding for my next destination. Tachikawa is also a great suburb of Tokyo that I enjoyed living in. If you want to check out other nearby towns or get to the heart of Tokyo, Tomoko’s place is within walking distance of both Nishi-Kunitachi and Tachikawa Stations. I highly recommend choosing this for a homestay.
Cannot recommend Tomoko more!! I had a very pleasant stay with her. Nice and clean room, food was always delicious and filled with interesting conversation about Japan and Tokyo and surroundings were very accesible. Tomoko really goes out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Loved it!

My stay with Tomoko san was like staying with a second mother. Before I even got on the plane, Tomoko san had already asked me for my flight information so that she can help me commute with no problems. When I first arrived, Tomoko san guided me to her house and showed me around the neighborhood. When we reached home, she gave me all the necessary instructions and house rules. Tomoko san is a splendid cook, she always makes breakfast and dinner and they're always very delicious! Tomoko san also does my laundry and irons my clothes too when I ask her to (for free!), she really gave me a luxurious stay :) during every meal Tomoko san would chat with me, sometimes in Japanese too, she has helped me improve my Japanese language for sure! Tomoko san also recommends me places to go, she has a great memory of the prices of everything! One of the nights during my stay, Tomoko san dressed me up in a very beautiful kimono, we took many pictures and I learned so much about Japanese culture that night! On my last day, Tomoko san offered to drop me off at the bus stop that takes me straight to the airport, and had already arranged the proper time and schedule and everything. I was very sad to leave, it really felt like my second home. Thank you so much for everything, Tomoko san, I will never forget the wonderful memories we shared! また会いたい、ともこさん♡
Tomoko was an absolutely amazing host. She always makes you feel welcome at her place and takes care about you a lot, even suggesting different plans for your stay. The room was nice and clean, and the meals delicious! Thank you very much for all your help!

Staying with Tomoko was an amazing experience.
She always made me feel right at home and often went an extra mile to offer assistance or advice.
The food was really good and everything was always clean.
The location is also very convenient with everything needed nearby including a train station.
Overall it was very very good, would stay there again!
Superb stay at Tomoko where I stayed 4 days. The big house welcomes several guests in separate rooms and shared bathroom. There are all the necessary amenities, the room is clean and very pleasant (independent air conditioning, large windows and balcony). The city of Tachikawa is very well connected, after a 10-minute walk to the station you can take a train or very easily reach the popular neighbourhoods of Tokyo. A bus goes directly to the airports (very convenient!). What makes all the charm of a stay at Tomoko... It’s Tomoko! She always does anything she can to help her guests in their travels and cook very good Japanese dishes. It is a real pleasure to spend hours talking with her (Tomoko speaks very good English)!
Thank to her I had a wonderful time, I even had a kimono fitting and a shopping time in a very special kimono and yukata store! Tomoko helps me to bye my yukata!
