Kumi-san was a fantastic host. She is kind and always eager to share about Japanese culture. I enjoyed the 4 months i stayed in her home.

Kumi's homestay was a wonderful find! I received a warm welcome from Kumi-san upon arrival, and the authentic Japanese experience she provided was truly special. The homemade meals were delicious, and I felt like part of the family during my stay. Kumi's insights into Japanese traditions added depth to my understanding. With a convenient location near a mall and station, Kumi's place is a great choice for those looking for an immersive Tokyo experience!

I stayed in Tokyo at Kumi's homestay for a month, and unfortunately, it was my only negative experience during my otherwise amazing visit to Japan. Below are my reasons considering that I stayed in the Tatami room and my boyfriend also joined me during the last week of the stay.
General Condition of the Home:
The cleanliness of the home was poor. The room, though acceptable, is not suitable for three people as she claims, and even for two, rearranging everything for sleeping space is necessary. The mattresses and mats had noticeable stains, indicating infrequent washing. The shared bathroom, while acceptable, had dirty towels, curtains, and an unkempt sink and shelves. The kitchen was chaotic, with plastic dishes and glasses showing signs of wear, a dirty fridge and microwave. Despite the delicious food, I stopped eating due to our ongoing conflicts. (I have photos of all of them and all of our chats)
Privacy Invasion:
Kumi entered my room without notice, moving my belongings without permission. Despite my request for prior notification, she continued this behavior, even displacing my things to make beds for my boyfriend and me.She refused to address any issues directly with me.

I didn't had the time to comment before but staying at Kumi's place was nice when I went to Japan. Discovering things thanks to Kumi was fun and she was a kind and helpful person. Thanks again Kumi for that, even after a year I didn't forgot my stay at her place ! (:

Staying with Kumi was quite the experience! I learned so much about the Japanese lifestyle, manners, and culture thanks to her. Would highly recommend staying with her.

Many sincere thanks to the host for the experience gained in getting to know better Japanese traditions and lifestyle.
Maybe I was a little bit confused at the beginning because of not so usual casual domestic surrounding, but the host’s sincerity, knowledge of traditions and goodwill helped to adapt and feel comfortable and evaluate the advantages of optimally set Japanese household.
I do recommend to stay in!
Thanks a lot the host and hope to come back.

Everything not sure she will guide us along. She taught us some Japanese language as well. We love it so much.
