Paolo (father), Raffaella (mother) and Francesco (6 y.o. son) live in a 5 rooms apartment in central Rome. When we travel around the World we use to rent rooms and share experiences with owners and try to breath the local atmosphere. Then we thought to give the same opportunity to travelers who like to discover Rome and decided to share 2 bedrooms with private bathroom with nice people. We began to host nice people coming from everywhere in the World about 12 years ago and we have enjoyed this kind of experience each time. We manage the hospitality as a B&B. So, you'll have 2 bedrooms (1 with king size bed, the second one with 2 single that can put together as a king) and a private bathroom. Since the kitchen is not accessible we serve a continental breakfast with also some local products. I am crazy for Cappuccino… If you like to try I will be happy to let you enjoy it! You have a separate entrance and some privacy we you need it but at the same time we can spend some time together having a glass of Chianti…
Wi-Fi, towels, sheets are included.

The accomodations were just what my 16 year old daughter and I needed! It was very nice to have a private space and entryway so we did not disturb anyone when we were coming and going. Stairs are involved to get to the apartment. The breakfast was just wonderful, more than expected! We are used to air conditioning and did not have this, but keeping the windows open, ceiling fan on, and a floor fan was provided....so all was fine. Paolo did state that the weather was warmer than usual for this time of year. We stayed in the larger bedroom but still had access to a small refrigerator in the smaller bedroom which was nice. Be cautious when taking a taxi from Termini station, we were extremely overcharged at 25 euros....it should only be about 10 euros. Very easy to walk to several restaurants. Easy to walk to Barberini or Repubblica metro stations......but beware that the return walk is uphill and we were exhausted on some days from walking so much. We felt very safe in the neighborhood, even walking around late at night. Overall, the stay with Paolo and Rafaella was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!

Or family of four (Mom, Dad, adult son and 7-ear old daughter) stayed with Paolo, Rafaella and Francesco (their 7-year old son) from June 18-23, 2015. This was a really fantastic stay with that extra dimension we were hoping for by staying with a family. Paolo was very accommodating in communications prior to our arrival making suggestions to make our landing and transport to the apartment as easy as possible. He phoned us while we were walking to the apartment as he was waiting for us and didn't want to miss us. We met at the door and he showed us in and made sure we were settled before departing. The apartment is accurately shown in his photos with 2 large bedrooms, bath and dining area. The family was able to open a hallway door so that we shared space when we wanted and they could close off the door giving themselves and us privacy when necessary. We had a separate entrance so we were assured we would not disturb them when returning home late. Paolo fixed us generous breakfasts every morning and one evening Rafaella made home made pizza with the kids after plans for an outing fizzled due to rain. Our 7 year old daughter was able to share Francesco's toys and room for play time and the kids romped around oblivious of the language barrier between them. We were made to feel as members of an extended family throughout our stay and would highly recommend our hosts for future stays. The Via Veneto area is residential and feels a little more frequented by locals than other more touristed parts of the city. The street noise is ever present if that's something that may be bothersome but we were not too bothered by it. Not to be missed in Come Il Latte-- the most fantastic gelateria just around the corner! if interacting with a local family and having a spacious landing spot while touring Rome is important to you-- this homestay is stellar!

We received a lovely warm welcome and the accommodation was clean and well presented. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair to relax in, but otherwise all was as described. Breakfast was amazing and host shared many things to see and do.
