Antonella offers a great homestay in a central location of Rome. The homestay is walking distance to the Vatican and the metro as well as a convenient bus service. Unfortunately I didn't meet Antonella, but Antonella's husband Paolo was there to greet me. Paolo was very welcoming and provided excellent advice and information for my visit to the city. The room and bathroom were clean and as described. Note other guest's comments about the sit-down bath/shower which may be unfamiliar to some. Thanks again to Antonella and Paolo - I had a lovely stay.
This was our first homestay experience. We are so lucky to meet Antonella and Paolo.
They were very friendly. We feel like our home. The place is very close to San Pietro and Vatican. I know where I am going to stay on my next visit to Rome. We had a lovely time, thank you.
Lovely family; very welcoming and friendly. Antonella and Paulo have a super balance by making you feel at home whilst allowing you your own space. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Great location a block from the train station, although this also means the noise from the station is a factor, but this did not disturb me at all. The apartment is on the third floor, so requires going up multiple stairs in an older building. The Vatican is within walking distance (about ten minutes) and the city center of Rome is about 20-25 minutes walking. The family was very kind and conversational without being overbearing with more than adequate command of English for any communication needs. The bathroom is the door directly next to the bedroom making it quite private. The bathroom is small with a very small bathtub that some may not find comfortable since the bottom of the tub appears to be designed for sitting rather than standing. The hosts kindly provided a gluten free breakfast option for me when I let them know that I do not eat gluten. Also, the hosts had good knowledge of the city in order to provide recommendations and directions when needed. I enjoyed meeting this family.
Lit super confortable.
Staying at Antonella's was very cool. The apartment is well located, super close to the Vatican. If you want to visit the city by walk it may take you a little more time to get to some attractions (but I did almost everything by walk and it was fine). If you prefer to take public transports, there is still a bus stop really close to their place so you can go pretty much everywhere super easily with the 64. The room is perfect, I got everything that I needed there. While I was in Rome, I didn't have the chance to meet Antonella and her son but her husband Paolo was there and it was very nice with him. He is very kind and helped me a lot by giving me advices to visit the city. Paolo even cooked me pasta and it was so good. I would stay again at this place if I would go back to Rome. Thanks again for hosting me!
