Confortevole con carattere a Cork

This review is a hard one to write because it is impossible to put everything I have lived here into words. Julia and Sean have been my family for my month in Cork, treating me with kindness and warmth from the very first day. Sean was always ready to help and to share stories of his many travels and Julia always had a word of support and encouragement. I of course can't forget little Murphy, the life and joy of the household, who often waited for cuddles outside my door. My room was comfortable and warm and the garden was gorgeous. It was really simple to get to the city centre and to my university (UCC) either by bus, which is definitely the fastest, easiest option, or on foot. I highly recommend Sean, Julia and Murphy as hosts for an unforgettable experience!

There are two very positive aspects that I would like to highlight about Seán's accommodation. First of all, it is a very cozy and clean house, in a very convenient area near the city center in a quiet neighborhood. And secondly, Seán is a great host, really very attentive, friendly, helpful and honest. The place was for my son, on an Erasmus stay, and I have to say that I was a little worried if he would be okay there, since his mother my wife recently passed away and my son needed to be in a space safe and comfortable. I have to say that Seán has been the ideal person, really involved in my son's well-being. Recommended 100% - God bless Seán!

I spent my summer with Seán and Julia and from the moment I arrived I felt very welcomed. They take you in like you're one of the family and there's no pressure on you at all. Very laid back and friendly place to stay, like a home away from home with the freedom to come and go as you please. Seán was always available to talk about anything and give advice regardless of what it was, and little Murphy was always a joy to be around. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs to stay in Cork City, and it's within walking distance of all amenities too!

I have more than loved my stay.. I really loved to share nice diners, beers and glass of wines with such nice people! As travellers, they are very open minded. They gave me a massive amount of stars in my eyes when they shared their trips and holidays all around the world. I'll be back in Sean & Julia's warm and cosy house for sure for my next stay ! The beautiful flowers welcoming guests in the lovely front garden are an indication as to what to expect in the house itself: A colourful home to attentive and caring host, filled with interesting stories from all over the world.

Sean and Julia treated me like family from the moment I set foot into their house, making it a home for me from the very beginning of my stay. They were exceptionally kind and respectful and made it clear that I could address them regarding any issues I might have during my time in Cork. Also, they provided me with advice on what to do and see around the area, which was greatly appreciated! They seemed to take a genuine interest in what I was doing and I'll enjoy looking back at some entertaining conversations we had. I absolutely loved the heating, too! Sean would sometimes turn it on just for me when he noticed I was cold. The house was very clean at all times beginning with a spotless shower and toilet to a radiant kitchen floor. The WIFI worked flawlessly, the house is at a nice walking distance to the city center and the kitchen was very easy to use. Not forgetting to mention Murphy, the adorable little dog that I'll probably miss most!

I'd highly recommend this home to people looking for a place to stay in Cork with an ideal balance between privacy and conviviality. Sean & Julia: Thanks a million for having me, it was a pleasure to stay with you! I can in all honesty say that I do not regret chosing your place one second.
