About the Homestay
We live in a four-bedroom house in Clonee, which is on the border of Co Meath. The house is 11 years old in a quiet cul de sac. I and my husband and two children live here along with our cat Molly. My son is 16 years old and my daughter is 10 years old. We are a 3-minute walk to the bus stop which goes into the city centre and also as far as University College Dublin. We are a 10 min cycle ride from the train station. We can provide a bicycle. There is a small village ten mins walk away which has a supermarket, cafe, chemist, bakery, and pub. There are two Spanish Au pairs living two doors away. We have a single room available.

After spending 3 months with Martina and her family, I feel like part of their family. Travelling to Ireland for the first time, they made my adjustment to a different country all the easier by welcoming me into their home and giving me tips on travel and the Irish culture. They are lovely, kind, and helpful, and I'll miss them and will cherish all the chats and memories I've made with them. xx
Martina and the family were very welcoming to me and the house was very nice
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
