My name is Tomi. I am from lovely country called Croatia.
If you choose me to be your host you will share apartment with me and my girlfriend and possible with another Homestay guest.
I like to explore so if you want to visit Dublin and discover new things feel free to ask any question I'm here to help.
I only have few rules for my apartment and they are really easy to follow.
Before you ask any questions about check in/check out time, drop in bags, payment etc please refer to my House Rules to see is my accommodation suitable for you.
I know I sound bit boring and full of rules but this are just normal rules that most of us probably have in our homes, but I have to write them down as some people are just not respecting a meaning of a home.
Cheers

House Rules
House rules are:
1. No shoes in the house. (I provide slippers or you can be in socks up to you)
2. No parties, no booking for someone else, no guests.
3. You can use the kitchen but I do have rules. Wash dishes and dry them with kitchen cloth, put them where you found them, clean cooking surfaces. Do not use anything metal on the pans.
4. No cooking after 10PM
5. I hate to write this but please bare in mind about time spent in the bathroom. 30 min is more than enough time to get everything done. Other guests might wait for the bathroom plus the hosts.
6. Do not enter any other rooms except for yours.
7. If you want tea/coffee no need to ask just help yourself
8. Check in time is after 5.30 pm as we are both working individuals. Check out time is 12 noon. No drop bags before arrival, no leaving bags for later collection.
9. When arriving late please bear in mind the noise you make.
10. Smoking is NOT allowed in the rooms
11. Please respect our privacy, as much as we like to chat, we like our peace and quiet time.
12. Washing machine can be used. 10€ for wash and dry (5kg)
13. When arriving do not knock or ring the bell. I use WhatsApp for communication after booking is confirmed. When you arrive WhatsApp me and I will be with you in a second.
14. Payment type is cash on arrival. Please have exact amount as I dont have change to give back.
15. IMPORTANT When going out please leave the windows open as Ireland is very humid country and fresh air needs to enter the room and moisture needs to go out. If this is not done my walls might get covered in black spots and fungus.
Smoking is not allowed.

The room itself was cozy and nice, the apartment not so much but understandable because people are living there. The first impression of the host is that he's very moody and has rules that he himself doesn't follow. First of all we asked if it's possible to check-in a earlier then 5:30 he said no which is also understandable because he mentioned this in his rules. The weird part was when he texted us before 5:30 asking if we'll make it on that exact time, his message: "I am asking as I have things to do and not sure will I be home the whole day." I'm sorry, but that's a bit rude, I paid money for a service you are providing and if I don't make it on the exact time then what? I'll have to wait outside? When we told him we will be on time he changed his mood and told us to take our time and enjoy Dublin. When we came he watched football the whole evening so apparently no plans. The live impression was way better he was caring and pleasant, showed everything in the apartment and informed about the other guests. The next day we had a text saying he will have 2 friends over and they will leave by 10pm which is very fine by us. Although the friends were smoking cigarettes inside the apartment and we could smell the smoke in our room. Also they left by 12am and made a lot of noise, as someone who's rules about noise are very strict I was hoping a bit more of an understanding as of what his guest might expect from this stay. I have lived in a student apartment so it was fine just a bit uncomfortable and not what we expected. Overall the stay was okay, the room was nice, the bus stop very close that goes everywhere. Just hoping that the host would understand the type of service he is providing and what are his responsibilities as a host supposed to be, not only what rules guest should follow ;)

I loved! A lovely, kind and welcoming couple. I just have to thank you for everything you did during my stay. I recommend Bella and Tomy with eyes closed, as we say in Brazil.

The + : Good price for a letting at Dublin. The flat is clean. It's close of the city center (only 3/4 H on foot). It's very nice to have the possibility to use the kitchen. As the bedroom is small, it's pleasant to stay in the living room.
The - : We were often alone in the flat with the other guest. Sometimes, the owners didn't sleep in their flat : it's strange. Unfortunetly, no exchange with the owners, only by WhatsApp, according Tomy's rules. We would hope to have the possibility to speak each day with the owners to learn to know Irish people : We only spoke with ALEXA. If we can understand that letting his flat is good for win some money : it's dammage that there is no or very few exchanges.Host reply

Very clean and cosy room, good vibes with Tomislav.

Host reply

Everything in the room was as it was described. The flat is clean.
We stayed there during a week and it was perfectly fine for us.
The flat is close to bus stops but you can also go to the city center by walking.
Tomi was always available when we needed him.April 2023

The room and the house are as described, everything super clean and Tomislav were a good host.
The room is not so big, but it’s enough for few days and if you don’t have lot of things with you.
The house is close to bus stop to go to the city centre.

We enjoyed staying in this appartment. We had all we needed. They are very friendly, gave some recommendations. The place is not far from the center, 123 bus is going to the city center, so it was very comfortable! Thank you for hosting us :)
