Welcome to our home:)
I'm Seán and I live with my 15 years old daughter and not to forget the smallest member of the family, our lovely dog.
Our home is located within walking distance of Swords town center. We are in an excellent location, close to Dublin airport and on a direct bus route to the city center, as well as 10 minutes from the coastal towns of Portmarnock and Malahide.
We provide a warm welcoming home and you'll never be a stranger while staying with us.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on the patio if you don't mind the Irish weather!!! before heading to town. There are bars, restaurants, supermarkets, and parks if you want to explore Swords. The Pavillions Centre is ideal for spot shopping or a cinema visit. Alternatively take a stroll through the beautiful grounds of Malahide Castle, just a short bus journey away.
We know our guests like their privacy and we will leave you to enjoy your stay.
However, I am happy to chat and I'm always on hand if need it.

House Rules
Only the Homestay registered/approved guests are allowed to stay in.
Some spaces are shared - Kitchen / Bathroom / Limited Living Room Access
So long as no cleaning fee is charged, the bathroom and kitchen must be kept clean at all times. It would be highly appreciated if the guests could also maintain the cleanliness of both the room and all shared areas.
The cooking should be focused to a single simple dish done in between reasonable hours. Also, both the cooker and kitchen must be left behind in a proper clean state, tidy and in good order. In the end, it is just a matter of respect, hopefully mutual!
This is a homestay accommodation, so please do not treat my place as a B&B or hotel because it is not.
Thank you very much.
Smoking is not allowed.

If you're looking for a homestay with comfort, privacy and a variety of experiences, choose Sean's House!
I am from South Korea and stayed in the house for a month. Since it was my first homestay, I had a lot of worries such as “Would there be no private life?”, ”wouldn't it be uncomfortable life?“ I think they’re worries that everyone who makes a reservation for a homestay will have. Even right before I arrived at the homestay, I had many doubts and worries about the host and the room.
After meeting Sean, all those worries went away! When I arrived, Sean greeted me friendly with kind smile. and he was very caring and helpful, being treated me like family as much as any guest can feel comfortable.
The room was spacious and roomy. I was worried before I come. “Wouldn't there be lack of facilities and furniture?”, “Wouldn't it be broken?”. But there were everything I needed and convenient to live. The room was very clean and I was able to live as it was without cleaning. Also, Sean respected the privacy of the guests in the room, so I think it's the best choice for those who value privacy.
Sean is very knowledgeable about local places, Irish history, politics and world, he loved to talk about them. so I feel I got a lot of help and experience beyond the homestay. And he respected the personality and culture of me and tried to get to know me. I never felt uncomfortable for a month and I only have memories for happy time in Ireland with enjoying my private and cultural life.
Swords is very safe and quiet town and the neighbors are friendly. There are bus stops nearby, so it was easy to move around, and there are a large supermarkets nearby. If you go to the Swords main street, you can enjoy your cultural life with a large shopping mall, many pubs and restaurants. It was very good for traveling around there is a beach, tour places not far away.
It was my first time in Swords and I found the town to be a very attractive and livable city.If you are thinking about where to stay, I recommend Sean's House. I am sure you will be satisfied.

August 2019
Sean offers a warm, Irish welcome! He opens his home up to whomever is staying there. He can’t do enough to make you comfortable in his home. He’s friendly, knowledgeable and it’s a pleasure to be in his company! He went out of his way, picking me up and dropping me off, and making sure my time in Swords was most enjoyable. Lastly, he listened like a (true friend)....to my “often non-stop unfiltered ramblings” when I’d eaten far too many carbohydrates....or for whatever reason I needed to express my opinions about the state of the world! I’m sure I owe him money for much needed therapy sessions-:) Thank you Sean! It was a pleasure meeting you, your son in law and son! All the Best to your family!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
