The hosts are helpful and polite. the house was clean and beautifully decorated. However, there is constant noise and it is not possible to sleep at a decent hour. The boiler is placed in the room so at 07.00 and in the evening turns on automatically and the noise is annoying.

I stayed with Sean and Anne for approximate 3 months.
House is nice and clean. Located a bit far from city center, but thanks to Dart it only takes 25-30 minutes to Connolly Station. Nice and quiet neighbourhood.
There is a room with a single bed and a room with a double bed. I stayed in the room with the single bed.
Room is small (but I guess that's normal for Homestays in Dublin). Bed is very uncomfortable. Room has desk, cupboard and drawers.
You can use the kitchen and they provide room in the fridge for your own stuff.
Even though it was freezing cold inside the house, Sean refused to turn on the heating. This is not acceptable for a homestay given the fact that you pay them a lot in rent.
Sean is very picky with leaving the lights on. He'd turn off the light in the kitchen even though you were eating.
I moved in with Sean and Anne one week into September, and then I paid 3 months of rent. Obviously I expected to stay there for 3 months, but Sean had me vacate the room after 2 months and 3 weeks (last day of November). They only accept rent and stays on a monthly basis, which they didn't inform on arrival. But they still let me pay for 3 months rent.

in sum; Definitely not the nicest homestay in Dublin. Rent is high compared to location and amenities. Get a clear agreement on rent and duration of stay. The hosts are doing this exclusively for the money.

Unfortunately they had their grand kids round every day, were constantly doing construction and watching television till late at night. Even if it's a Homestay you should have some regard that people are PAYING to be on your place and behave accordingly. I had to leave a day early and I kindly asked if they could return my money for the night I was not staying and they refused. I had no access to the kitchen and they did not provide breakfast. If you are reading this review you can make your own mind up weather this Homestay sounds recommendable.
