Welcome to Grandmother House :)
* I live with my grand child. The house is very big, traditional, cozy and lovely which is covered with handmade Iranian carpets and rugs. You can see a real Iranian life style here. We would be so happy to host you in our home. We are so kind, hospitable and helpful. I really like guests because main goal is really to introduce Persian culture and show our hospitality to the world.
* In our culture we believe "guest is the friend of God" and for this reason we do our best for you.
* The house consists of a yard with orange and olive trees with a small traditional pond. There is space for three cars in the yard.
*Inside the house there are all facilities like kitchen, bath (both Iranian and western), two bedrooms, facilities for cooking like stove, oven, freezer, refrigerator, dining table, washing machine, heater, cooler, etc
* For sleeping there are mattress, blanket and pillow available. You really feel an Iranian traditional and comfortable here

About the Area
**My home is located close to Shiraz about 10 minutes in an area named Azadegan. This area is very famous for its so delicious Halva (a kind of sweet). If you stay at my home I will give you a box of Halva as gift with pleasure to remember the memory of Iran.
**As my home is located before the entrance of Shiraz (Quran gate) so transfer from my home to the city center (Karim Khan Citadel) and back home is free any time that you would like.
**Also my grandchild can arrange tour to Persepolis and Necropolis or Naqshe Rustam and other attractions like nature, nomads, etc for you. My grandchild can be so helpful for your trip and can give you the best plan for visiting attractive places in Shiraz and other cities.
** My daughter is a famous cook and can arrange all kinds of traditional food with the best quality which you will never forget the taste.

Eti did not speak English so she put us in contact with her granddaughter, Shila whose English was fluent. Shila contacted by Whatssap and collected us from the bus station in Shiraz. She was a fantastic guide and in the end we stayed in family home. Her parents were extremely hospitable and we ate breakfast and dinner in their home each of the three days we spent in Shiraz. Although Shila's home was 20 minutes drive from Shiraz she drove us back and forward every day recommending the best places to see as well as accompanying us to several sites. We also went on optional trips to a traditional village and to Persepolis and a Necropolis- Shila is very knowledgeable on Iranian history and culture. We could not recommend this homestay highly enough- we had a fantastic time.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
