This is Maya (illusion), a place where you can discover yourself. Located in the picturesque village Aymanam (land of five forests), which is also formed the background for Arundhati Roy's Booker prize winning novel `The God of Small Things'. This 100 years old homestay is situated admist the dense green canopy of mangosteen, nutmeg, jack-fruit, rambuttan trees and also organic vegetable garden.
The air itself is full of promise, fragrant with the myriad scents of fruit and flowering trees. All round is peace and stillness. A river flows slowly past, snatches of sunlight shimmer off the water. This is Maya, a heaven away from clocks and calendar, a place where time is in no hurry. The homestay is enriched with large courtyard, full of lush agriculture in three sides and river (Meenachil) in front.

About the Area
Boutique Homestay is located near Aymanam (Ayemenem) VILLAGE ( in Kerala State in India), which is just under 4 Km from the heart of Kottayam town, which forms the hub for accessing all popular tourist destinations of Kerala such as Kumarakom (14 Km), Alleppey (42 Km), Thekkady (110 Km), Munnar (150 Km) and Kovalam (115 Km).
Riverdale Boutique Homestay is set in the middle of the agriculture farms, fishing ponds, prawns and fresh water hatcheries; it is a house of openness and light, serenaded by birds, shaded by trees and lulled by gentle breeze from the backwaters. The three sides of the house has moving water body connecting the Vemabanadu lake to the west in Kumarakom. A ride in the canoe through the river and canals to reach Kumarakom village is indeed very scenic and inspiring.
