Guest expectations – Supporting their stay

Supporting your guest throughout their stay is easily done. Not all guests are alike, some prefer privacy while others prefer to chat. It's best to find out what your guest wants from their homestay.

Arrival

You need to be at home to welcome your guests when they arrive and give them any reasonable help they might need. However, you don’t have to stay in after they’ve arrived and settled in.

You'll need to make sure your guests have a key to get in and out of the house if you're not around.

During their stay

Please ensure there is a clear list of house rules listed on your profile for guests to view. If you prefer to reiterate any rules – hot water, cooking procedures etc. please do so from the outset to help set the right expectations and avoid conflict.

Great hosts have lots of local information available – taxi services, bus/train timetables, take away foods menus, cinemas, local amenities etc.

Departure

Make sure the process for your guests' departure is clear to them. If you won't be around or need a key returned, let your guest know.
