Au coeur de la Habana

Neither Devabala nor anyone from his family was there the whole time. A "friend" introduced himself without prior notice and tried mean tricks to get one's money. Also the service was lacking at all times. The water supply couldn't be granted as the "friend" (Y.) forgot filling up the tanks, rooms were barely introduced, no information or tips on the city were given at any point, doors were either unable to open or to lock, the breakfast that was served was spoiled. Mean tricks included offering water (making one believe as being meant as amends or gifts) and then later charging for those or offering buying the wife something at a store as method of payment. All of this must have either happened with Devabala's notice or approval or it is bad enough for him to trust such a guy and lure tourists into this systematic trap.

Our stay in havana was our first experience with Cuba. Our pick-up taxi from the airport was well arranged and she even arranged a Taxi to our Viazul busstation for our next stay. She was really sweet to welcome us and she makes the best breakfast!!! The only reason why we gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because she doesn't speak english, that made it a bit hard too communicate. But for us its also bad. We go to a Spanish speaking country without understanding Spanish.

Luis is the nicest person we have met during our trip in Cuba, he will do everything to help you spend a wonderful Time in Cuba. From day one, Luis had been an amazing host. Even tho our flight arrives at 4 in the morning, Luis waited for us to make sure we don't get lost with our cab. He really make you feel at home. It's hard to describe how wonderful, generous , caring Luis was during our entire trip. We couldn't find better place to start our trip in Cuba, we enjoyed his place so much that we decided to come back to Havana for our last day in Cuba.
His place is really close from the old Havana, easily accessible by foot in 10-15mn. Rooms are very spacious, clean and he'll serve you a delicious breakfast with real Cuban coffee in the morning . We will never forget our time with Luis. If you book some time in Havana make sure you stay at Luis place and you won't be disappointed.

where do i start with how AMAZING a time i had, mostly thanks to Jorge Luis and Yaerelis! i have been to over 90 countries & islands globally, and to ALL 7 continents(never Cuba until now). Yet i can safely say that i have never received as much love, care, attention, and kindness than when i stayed @ the Casa Harmonia! i was treated like a queen from the moment i arrived, and the treatment never stopped! i actually cried that i had to leave, lol. the room had a magnificent balcony view of the real Habana, the facilities were always kept clean(toilet paper provided which doesn't happen often in Cuba), the breakfasts were SO delicious and huge that i didn't have to eat again until dinner, and they were available 24/7 to help me with whatever i needed; INCREDIBLE! they treated me like family from the minute Jorge Luis met me @ the airport with a sign, and put me into that beautiful 50's bright green vehicle. they left me with such a beautiful feeling about Cuba and it's people, that i am now trying to figure out how i can return there sooner than later! one last thing: on my final day in Habana, Jorge came to help me pack up some of the treasures i had bought. i noticed he had on a shirt i thought my boyfriend would love. when i inquired where i could get one like it, he literally took it off and gave it to me to give to my boyfriend back home. WOW! WOW! WOW! so he literally gave me the shirt off his back, lol! these people and the place were authentic and inspiring to say the least!
