Five Homestays Worth Visiting in Kenya

Our goal at Homestay.com is to provide travelers with an authentic experience in each destination they visit by living with locals. These are five homes in Kenya that accomplish this goal and more.

1 Hellen and her family (Nairobi)

Hellen and her husband Michael love hosting volunteers in their home. They have a big family with their son Isaac and four foster children. They work together at ABC Children's Aid Kenya and the International Cultural Youth Exchange Kenya. One guest, Eloïse from France, was in Kenya on fieldwork for a research project for her Master's Degree in Anthropology at the University of Nanterre. She really felt like part of the family. She told us "We had the opportunity to share about our respective lives, families, problems, hopes and dreams. I learned a lot about the Kenyan culture through all the conversations we shared."

Ana from Croatia wrote, "You cannot choose a better place in Nairobi than her house. She was my mother for one week." Another guest from Germany said, "Choosing Alice's Homestay was the best decision I could have made. I was feeling at home from the beginning. I got to know a lot of astonishing people and the African food they shared with me was excellent."
