Stay with Maribel and Hector in our house in Salamanca. We have 3 Rooms, 1 Simple and 1 Double and 1 that can be Double or Triple, according to necessities. We have TV and Fridge, Wardrobe for clothes, Table, Desk and Lamp, and Mirror.
It is at a distance of 0 minutes from Plaza Espana and 4 minutes from the Plaza Mayor walking, there bus lines 0 minutes from home. There is also a large park 2 minutes from the house called Alamedilla, where you can rent bicycles and many more activities.
My family costs my son, who is a student in the university of economics, and speaks English and I that I dedicate to the Lodging and in some occasions I have other works, like the one of Esteticien, Stylist and Clothing Manufacture. I dedicated to the lodging 24 years ago, less 5 years of interval, than I lived in the Canary Islands, and I was dedicated to other offices ....
We have many interests; Sports: Swimming, Biking and Soccer and others, photography, watching movies, cooking, socializing, theater, painting, music, concerts, festivals, dancing, learning other languages, nature, fashion design, television, board games, And gardening.
Our city is Salamanca in Spain, a small, quiet and very beautiful city, famous for its University and its Plaza Mayor ....
I dedicate myself to hosting students for 24 years, you will eat very well, we like to eat very well and to know other culinary cultures.
Quédate con Maribel y Héctor en nuestra casa en Salamanca. Tenemos 3 Habitaciones, 1 Simple y 1 Doble y 1 que puede ser Doble o Triple, según necesidades. Disponemos de TV y Nevera, Armario para la ropa, Mesilla, Escritorio y Lámpara, y Espejo.
Está a una distancia de 0 minutos de la Plaza Espana y 4 minutos de la Plaza Mayor caminando, ahi lineas de autobus a 0 minutos de casa. También hay un parque grande a 2 minutos de casa que se llama la Alamedilla, en este mismo se pueden alquilar bicicletas y muchas más actividades.
Mi familia costa de mi hijo, que es estudiante en la universidad de economía, y habla ingles y yo que me dedico al Hospedaje y en algunas ocasiones tengo otros trabajos, como el de Esteticien, Estilista y Confección de Ropa. Me dedico al hospedaje hace 24 años, menos 5 años de intervalo, que viví en Las Islas Canarias, y me dedicaba a otros oficios….
Tenemos muchos intereses; Deportes : Natación, Bicicleta y el Fútbol y otros, fotografía, ver películas, cocinar, socializar, teatro, pintar, música, conciertos, festivales, Bailar, aprender otros idiomas, naturaleza, diseño de moda, televisión, juegos de tablero, viaje, y jardinería.
Nuestra ciudad es Salamanca en España, una ciudad pequeña, tranquila y muy bonita, famosa por su Universidad y su Plaza Mayor....
Me dedico a acoger estudiantes desde hace 24 años, comeréis muy bien, a nosotros nos gusta comer muy bien y conocer otras culturas culinarias.

The apartment has an excellent location. 5 minutes to Plaza Mayor and only less than 300 meters from the San Boal campus of Salamanca University where most of the international courses took place, a pleasant surprise to me.
The aparment was clean. The room I had was quiet but did not have sunshine as it faced an interior yard. The shared bathroom was well maintained. The hostess, Maribel, was friendly. I liked my stay since I was the only guest for most of the two weeks.
The rent did not include Wifi use, which was my oversight during booking.
The simple breakfast was true to its name. The cold coffee provided tasted awful after re-heating in microwave oven. Tenans are supposed to use microwave oven, not the stove, to make tea. So I usu. just had a tea with cornflakes and milk and then proceeded to the cosy little cafe (Damajuana) in font for a real coffee and tortilla or tapas.
Maribel told me not to take shower after midnight, But this rule did not seem to apply to her.
The long corridor in the apt was dark even during the day as it has no windows. Maribel was upset when I left the corridor lights on even during my use of the toilet. She would remark that electricity was expensive in Spain. So being a considerate person, I often fumbled through the corridor in the dark to get to bathroom or to my room, as the switches for lights are not well located on the corridor wall. It took some getting used to, but not a major issue.
I am grateful to Maribel for answering some of my queries about Spanish language and culture.
By the way, I highly recommend the Damajuana cafe just opposite the apt. Both the owner named Nierves and its customers, esp one named Xarvi, were extremely friendly and ready to engage in conversaton with a me.
In sum, the homestay with Maribel, courses in Salamanca Uni and chats in Damajuana Cafe combined to have given me a great experience of learning Spanish language and culture in Salamanca.Regrettably, I was falsely accused of damaging the aquarium and plants. I did not touch her aquarium or plants. The host was mistaken and confused on the entire matter.
