Family home in a 3 bedroom apartment that overlooks the CN Tower in Toronto.
**About 6-7 minute walk to the subway, 2 minutes walk to bus stop,
**3 minutes (4 bus stops) to reach Eglinton W. subway station
**30 minutes to downtown Toronto.
Very close to Malls and small eateries, convenient to almost everything.
**Supermarket is just beside the building. They sells hot meals to go.
**Access to use my kitchen to cook anytime.
**Coffee or tea is provided (self serve).

I am a retired banker and I have 2 children ages 28 and 29. My son lives with me to help me out and my daughter lives on her own but comes to visit once in a while.
My family joined the homestay program in 2004.
Our guests/students comes from different countries.
I have 2 bed rooms that are available for students/guests:
***1st room has a queen bed, good for single or couple.
***2nd room has 2 single beds ( 1 or 2 people). 1 guest is accepted, room is private.
**Host must know the approximate age of guests.
**Age limit: not over 70 years old, for peace of mind.
**Profile photo is required when making booking inquiries.
Please note:
Family of 3 - 4 is accepted as long as the 2 rooms are available but children must be at the age of 10 not less. Regular rate will be applied.
**Please note:
Additional information regarding children under 5 year old is no longer offered.

Unser Haus ist 30-35 Minuten in die Innenstadt von Toronto. Lawrence Square (kleine Mall) ist 15 Minuten zu Fuß und es gibt Yorkdale Mall, 3 U-Bahn Haltestellen von der nächsten U-Bahn von meinem Haus. Wir haben eine städtische frische Sobey's Lebensmittelgeschäft neben meinem Gebäude.

Gastfamilien können nach eigenem Ermessen ein kostenloses leichtes Frühstück anbieten. Für alle anderen Mahlzeiten, einschließlich eines kompletten Frühstücks, fallen möglicherweise zusätzliche Kosten an. Mahlzeiten und zusätzliche Zahlungen sollten direkt mit Ihrer Gastfamilie vereinbart werden.

Please note:
**Maintain the cleanliness of the rooms and kitchen after use.
**Respect everyone in the home.
**Friends are not allowed unless you have permission.
**No drinking alcohol, drugs and smoking.
**Open communication is very important to avoid misunderstanding.
Cancellations for advance bookings/Booking updates:
***Guests who wants to cancel reservations, must notify host, 4 weeks before arrival, to be able to accept new guest.
***Remaining balance must be paid upon arrival***
***Minimum booking is at least 1 week and maximum is up to a year. Confirmed short term bookings should notify host if there are changes.

Check in - 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Check out - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
***This rules applies when there is a guest departing and a new incoming guest..... on the same day***
***Guest should consider the time of arrival in Toronto to avoid overlapping of time for check ins and check outs****
All guests that are coming from Brazil should consider the time of arrival in Toronto when selecting flights. Check-in should be at least from 10 AM.

We booked Imelda’s house for a week, and we had very good time there. After arrived Canada at 10pm, we took a taxi immediately. When we arrived the house was around 11:30pm, Imelda and her son Kevin treated us so friendly and just let us took a shower and went to bed, not worry anything else.
We enjoyed chatting with Imelda, we talked about trip, family, culture, life style. She kindly share coffees and cookies with us at first morning, and let us know don’t hesitate if we have any questions. We went to downtown together, and she showed us where we can shop. She cooked last dinner for us, we had dinner together and chatted a lot. She is really a nice host, if one day we go back Toronto we will must choose to stay at Imelda home. I absolutely enjoyed my stay. Imelda and Kevin were awesome hosts. They surprised me on my birthday with a chocolate cake, and cooked dinner for me on my last day.

I had a great time at Imelda und Kevins Home. The room was nice and I felt comfortable. Kevin was super friendly and helpfull. Imelda was not there when I rented the room,but I only heard really great things about her. It would have been great to meet her. Maybe I have to come again. Thanks for everything. It was a good start for my year in Canada!

We really had a great time when staying with Imelda and her son Kevin!! The location is pretty close to the TTC station, and you can walk to the Eglinton West Sation in 10 mins. After the staying with them, we became friends rather than host & guest :) Hope to see you guys again in the near future! I would recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to travel or stay in Toronto!

My stay with Imelda was very pleasant. The apartment was clean and tidy and in a very good location (20 minutes by subway to downtown). The room I stayed in was comfortable and bright with a nice view of the neighborhood. There was a supermarket right next to the apartment, which was very helpful for me. When I had any questions, Imelda and her son Kevin were always available and very helpful.

I really enjoyed the stay at Imelda's House, she is very nice and makes you feel at home since the first minute, I wanted to extend my stay at her place but unfortunately it was fully booked. i really recommend her to anyone who wants to feel at home not just some other rental.
