Nadira was lovely and welcoming, and overall I appreciated my stay! Good location, clean and tidy, and with nice people in the house. I would gently suggest that future Homestayers sleeping in Room 2 should bring earplugs. This room only has a privacy wall (walls don't reach the ceiling), so you hear all the noise from upstairs and downstairs. Given that all the people in the house have different schedules, this can make it hard to sleep. But if you are a heavy sleeper that might not be an issue!

What a great Homestay! I have stayed in hostels and homestays and resorts in Iceland, Korea, Quebec City, New York, Tokyo, Jamaica etc and this homestay has the same fun as a hostel where you get to meet people of all ages from all over the world and meet new friends, but it's private and you get your own room which is much better than a hostel! Nadira is very nice and welcoming and very kind but you also have the freedom to come and go as you please without very many rules other than respecting the space and respecting the other people in the home. Nadira has treated me to wonderful home cooked Guyanese roti dinners and even welcomed me to eat with her family for Christmas dinner! The day I arrived, I was given a coffee and a croissant and her family is very kind and easy to get along with. The area is also amazing! We are right near St. Clair Ave West where you can access an old fashioned Toronto Streetcar and head to midtown or to Forest Hill (where Drake is from!) or you can go to The Junction, The Stockyards, Koreatown, The Annex, Little Jamaica, Corso Italia, Roncesvalles or High Park within 10-15 minutes on transit. The homestay itself is located in a cute Portuguese neighborhood with many coffee shops and bakeries like Nova Era and Golden Wheat which are considered some of the best in Toronto! The homestay is also within a 30 minute commute to all of the universities and colleges in the city. I highly recommend this place and will miss it very much! I will definitely book this unit again when I am visiting Toronto!
