Hostal La Esmeralda is a beautiful colonial house located in the heart of the Historic Center of the City of Trinidad. In it rent 4 spacious rooms air-conditioned, also with big windows, that allow a perfect natural ventilation. Each room has a separate bathroom, with permanent supply of hot and cold water, provided with everything necessary for personal hygiene such as towels, toilet paper, soap and shampoo. Three of the rooms are located on the first level and the fourth on the second. The house has an interior patio between the 3 rooms of the first level, almost exclusive use of guests and also a large terrace on the third level where there is a gazebo overlooking the whole city.
Edilandy, one of the hosts, has been a bar clerk with more than 5 years of experience in his work so the service will be special for each guest. Upon arrival guests are greeted with a fruit cocktail or welcome drink for free and from that time the hosts are available to recommend the best places to visit in the city and its surroundings. The fixed telephone of the house can be used free of charge for local calls and to manage the next destination. Book at the Hostal La Esmeralda and inform the family of your arrival time to wait for you at the point of arrival.

Trinidad war der erste Stop unserer Rundreise und wir wurden in der Unterkunft sehr herzlich empfangen.
Die Lage ist Top, es ist sehr zentral und trotzdem nicht laut.
Das Frühstück für 5 CUC ist sehr lecker und reichhaltig.
Der Aufenthaltsbereich ist super schön mit tollem Ausblick.
Die Zimmer sind groß, sauber und die Betten bequem.
Auf Wunsch vermittelt er auch ein Taxi colectivo und weitere Casa Particularis. Er hat uns dadurch die Fahrt und Unterkunft in Havanna schon organisiert!Er kann kein Englisch, mit wenigen Wörtern Spanisch kann man sich aber verständigen.

La casa est bien tenue, il y a 4 chambres ce qui donne une sensation de mini hôtel et un peu moins de « chambre chez l’habitant » mais c’ est sympa aussi . Efrain est disponible pour donner des infos, tous le monde est très sympa !

The room was clean to start and decently outfitted with amenities. But I'm not enthusiastic about this casa for a few different reasons which I will explain. We stayed here for four days and on the third day, our room was in need of cleaning but they had no intention of doing so: we had to ask for this and even then it was with the greatest trepidation that they agreed. Secondly, the beds were fine for a night, but not too good. Thirdly, the space is quite small so don't go here if you have more than two suitcases. Fourthly, the hosts do not do anything themselves as they have a lot of staff and these people will solicit you for gifts, for example, if you can give them soap or a pen. Quite awkward because they have access to your private stuff. Finally, the breakfast (5CUC) isn't very good either (stale bread, old cheese). Oh, and bring earplugs because the Cubans do not kid around with their salsa! All in all, I wouldn't recommend a stay here.

no se por que no le a gustado su estancia pero aqui nunca se habia quejado un huespede asi se le dijo de limpiarle la habitacion pero no quiso y aqui en trinidad es una ciudad de mucha salsa disculpa por haberse sentido asi pero nusotros hasemos todo lo posible por que se sientan bien creo que ustedes estan equivocados

La casa más bonita en la que estuvimos en todo CUBA. tiene una terraza en la azotea preciosa, donde desayunar, leer, y ver la puesta de sol. Nos encantó la casa, y además esta en el centro de Trinidad a un paso a la casa de la música. Muy amables y la habitación super cómoda, bonita y limpia.

Casa très bien placée dans le centre historique de trinidad, chambre propre, agréable terrasse, petit déjeuner copieux... mais attention dans l'annonce il est noté petit dèj compris et ce n'est pas le cas... nous en avons eu la désagréable surprise au moment de payer en fait il y a juste un café de compris pas de petit dej.... hôte pas très présent ce qui est dommage

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
