Julio et Iris sont de très bons hôtes. Ils nous ont très bien reçus. Ils se sont bien occupés de trouver des calèches pour visiter les environs et un taxi pour Cayo Coco et le dîner concocté par le Chef Julio fut un festival de plats savoureux et un régal.

chambre spacieuse à l étage. tout le confort nécessaire. maison en face la place. acces centre ville a pieds a 10mn. possible de garer la voiture avec supplément dans une autre maison avec un portail fermé. tres bon pt de depart pour les cayos. on pense encore a eux. :-)February 2019
Because of a family emergency, Julio had to cancel our booking but organised an alternative for us. He arranged everything and also supported us very lovely in organising trips, taxi etc. Many thanks for that! However, I cannot give a more detailed review of his accommodation (the entrance looked very nice and modern though ;) )

We spent a month in Cuba, staying only in casas particulares. We really liked our stay with Julio and his wife! They were super attentive, helpful and friendly, going so far as to origanize a snorkeling trip for us at Caya Guillermo. In general they tried their very best to make us feel comfortable.
We really want to specifically highlight the breakfast we had here. Julio is a former chef and this you can really taste and see!
We can honestly say we had the best breakfast here all month!Also important to note: We hardly speak a word Spanish, but we had no difficulty communicating as Julio is able to talk English pretty well.
We would recommend his home any day!

Julio y su esposa nos recibieron calurosamente. El coche podría estar aparcado en los vecinos. El chef Julio sirvió excelente desayuno y cena. Tiene buenos planes para su casa. Buena suerte Julio!

Iris and Julio are warm and knowledgable hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Julio has excellent English and so its very easy to make travel arrangements and find good places to eat.
Breakfast here was one of the best Cuba I think. Julio is building a restaurant in the garden so I think this will be a fantastic place to get real Cuban cuisine. We came to see flamingo's and even though numbers are down because of the hurricane we saw over 40 such a wonderful sight. Julio made sure the taxi driver helped us spot them which he did and this really made our trip. There are fantastic beaches here so lots of space to relax too.

How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
