VERY CLEAN HOME, VERY WELL SITUATED IN A SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD, This is a beautiful upper floor colonial style home managed by my sister, my mother and I. Marvy and Alberto answer and approve all the internet requests since they speak the best English. The home is in a very SAFE area day or night!!! It is centrally located and it is very CLEAN. It has 2 air conditioned bedrooms and 2 PRIVATE BATHS with door locks. The MAIN bath in the hall is the primary bath. However, if that bathroom is occupied, then you are free to use the second full bathroom located next to the kitchen, (UPON RQUEST). Both are private and with locks on the doors. (Bedroom 1 has a Queen side bed that sleeps 2. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and a 3rd single bed can be brought in to accommodate up to 3 people. The home is located in Central Havana, and it is within 20 minutes walking distance to most places of interest and tourist attractions. The famous Malecon sea wall/walk is only 5 blocks from our home.

In this home you will have complete privacy and security. We live in the back of the house and are available 24/7 to make your stay trouble free and pleasant. A full breakfast (7.00usd per person) is served upon request, in advance ....
Guest could have access to the refrigerators in the house to store water, etc. . Transportation to and from the airport average total price is approximately 25.00usd via Taxis. it can be more or less depending on the driver or the type Taxi..(More than 3 riders with many bags may cost a bit more). There are plenty of Taxis and private drivers that can bring you home outside of the Terminal building. They are all safe!!! The airport is 15 km or 9 miles from the house. The ride from the airport to the house can take anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. We can help with information about tour guides, places of interests, and many other local attractions. (Keep in mind however, that we are not a travel agency and information given is only to help supplement whatever info you may already have and to make your stay a more enjoyable and pleasant stay). We are a family that will welcome you with open arms..
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND>>>As you can see in the pictures, the space is large enough, clean, SAFE and in my view beautiful....however, please remember that Cuba is not a luxury destination! Many things are still quite basic. Water pressure is not what it is in America or some places in Europe, but it is sufficient. We have a big reservoir tank on the roof and even on those rare occasions when there are water cuts by the city, it should not impact our guests.

IT IS KNOWN AS TRANSPORTATION COMUM. The vehicle seats 7 persons (mostly tourists). They will pick up in front of the house at AROUND 8.30am. About the Area
Our house is located 5 blocks from the famous Malecon and parque Maceo area. The airport is 15kms or 9 miles from the house. It is a 15 to 20 minute drive depending on traffic. The home is in a very SAFE area (Concordia 626 altos. (entre) Oquendo y Marquez Gonzalez)., very well situated and it is very CLEAN. It is within close proximity to Old Havana, Hotel Nacional, La Universidad de La Habana. Paseo del Prado, El Castillo del Morro, Vedado área, La Bodeguita del Medio, el Palacio de la Rumba, el Callejón de Hamel, El Floridita, el Capitolio, La Catedral, El Hotel Inglaterra, and many more tourists attraction areas. Most within walking distances. It is a very safe area day or night. There is local transportation and taxis available . Most taxis are old vintage American cars that are still functioning. However, there are modern taxis available as well as tourist/sightseeing buses. Local bus transportation are also available but are mostly used by locals at a very cheap cost. They are crowded and an experience worth having, if only one time.

Smoking can only take place in the balcony. We live in the back of the house and we are available 24/7. If you want or need anything, or if you are looking for something and can not find it, PLEASE ASK.... NO PARTIES, NO HEAVY DRINKING, NO DRUGS, NO LOUD MUSIC, and NO GUESTS ALLOWED INTO THE HOUSE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL. Because there may be guests in the adjacent room, we ask that you keep this in mind and be considerate and respectful of those in the other rooms. Be quiet, don't slam doors and keep noise to a minimum. Specially at night time..It is your responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are not left behind.
The home has two individual private bathrooms. If one is occupied then you are welcome to use the other. We will do all possible to make your stay in our home a pleasant , safe and enjoyable experience. Welcome to La Habana.

It was the first house in Cuba and I can't be any luckier. Marvelys was an amazing host and keeps helping me during all the tour. She always has time for me and if it wasn't for her my trip would have been way less pleasant. Moreover, her house in Habana Cientro is clean and quite and in a good position (10 mins of walking from Habana Viejo and the same time for Varadero).

Marvelys is an awesome person. She was very kind and offered help on all kinds of things. Allthough she was facing a tough situation, she organized a room for us at her neighbours house. Also very nice people, we had the best stay possible there. If you want to stay in Havana, this is the place!

Marvy's house has been my first accomodation in Havana and honestly I can't be any luckier. The house i extremely clean and comfortable (I had my own bathroom), the room has air conditioning and it's well located: in the heart of Havana cientro, it's next to Malecon and you'll be able to reach Vedado, Havana vieja and plaza de la revolucion in 20 mins (of walk, in taxi it's more or less 5-10 mins). Moreover, the neighborhood is safe and calm (I travel alone and usually come back home at 11, no one ever bother me). But the best part of this house is Marvy herself. She helped me with everything (changing money, getting a sim, finding a new house in Cienfuegos and the taxi to get there, ecc) and more then everything, since only thanks to her help I was able to recollect my luggage that was lost in airport. It really was a pleasure to meet you Marvy!

Una casa preciosa con unos anfitriones increíbles, perfecta tanto para estudiantes como para turistas. Marvy es increíblemente atenta, hospitalaria, cariñosa, cálida y servicial. Como estudiante extranjera, estoy muy agradecida de haber encontrado la casa de Marvy para alojarme. Ella me apoyó y me ayudó a sumergirme adecuadamente en La Habana. Pude comer bien con la familia y disfrutar de la casa como si fuera la mía. La casa está a sólo 10 minutos a pie de la universidad, las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado y la casa está muy limpia. Recomiendo encarecidamente esta estancia si eres estudiante. Estarás muy bien atendido. Echaré de menos alojarme aquí.
A beautiful home with amazing hosts, perfect for both students and tourists. Marvy is incredibly attentive, hospitable, caring, warm and helpful. As a foreign student, I am so grateful I found Marvy's home to stay in. She supported me and helped me properly immerse myself in Havana. I was able to eat good meals with the family, and enjoy the home as if it was my home. The home is only 10 minutes walk from the university, the rooms has air conditioning and the house is very clean. I highly recommend this stay if you are a student. You will be well cared for. Marvelys es una persona muy amable, amigable y te ayuda mucho a organizar tu viaje recomendándote alojamiento en otras ciudades que vayas a conocer, con el cambio de dinero y con la tarjeta sim del móvil para tener internet en Cuba, también la casa de Marvelys dispone de todo lo necesario para estar cómodo y está situada a escasos 15 minutos caminando del centro de La Habana y otros 15 minutos de la zona residencial de El Vedado, la casa en si está situada en el popular barrio de Cayo Hueso, cerca del Callejón de Hamel y de El Malecón
