Welcome to our Magic place !!. We run a successful and busy Bar & Café Business, focused on locals. We are offering one room: Room # No. 5 in a private house with a Garden, Patio, and Terrace with ornamental plants in the center of the City. We speak English. Free Internet in every part of the house, (4 Mbps), just connect and enjoy. We have an Electric Generator. We offer currency exchange. We offer (For free) a Handbook made by us About Cuba. Mosquito net in every bed. Breakfast is not included in the price.
Important !! (Drawbacks)

-The spiral staircase that allows access to the terrace, has a width of 70 centimeters but may not be suitable for elderly people.
- We have an electric generator capable of providing up to 6 hours of energy for the lights, fan, and an electrical outlet in the room, but it is NOT enough for the Air Conditioning. The Generator will turn on during a blackout and be turned on later than 7:00 p.m.

Our Coffee & Bar Business, right now is not in our home is, else 4 blocks away, we are building a Bar and Grill Restaurant at Home.
Coffee & Bar Business it's quite crowded, despite foreigners may visit it, it is NOT a product focused on tourists. It is designed for Cubans (mainly young people of average purchasing power), with adequate services and prices for this market segment, (the first payment option is CUP, and other choices are Euros and us dollars), our rooms are far enough from the Bar & Grill so noise shouldn't be a problem and the access of Bar & Grill client's to Rooms is limited, no doubt, it would be an interesting experience to live, from "the front line" how Cubans share these recreational activities.

Private house, built-in 1911, restored with adequate comfort standards, It has a Garden, Patio, and Terrace, decorated with ornamental plants of different varieties. Located in the center of the City.
The Villaverde Colonial Hostal bears his name not only for the love and care of Nature but also in Honor of the Villaverde Family, a Cienfuegos family of which we are proud to be part.
Our business is NOT renting space on Homestay, Our business IS to make people who visit us happy and offer nice memories through a family experience in a natural environment.
The main strength of our Home is the people who live in it, our education, and the love that we profess as a family, towards our country and to all the human beings of the world who deserve, only for existing our respect and consideration.
We are the owners of the house, renting free spaces in it will help us pay for the investment made in the restoration and as living in the future, because we are already thinking of organizing to face the elderly as worthily as possible, this among other things it forces us to think of the guests as people to whom we must treat well and always seek continuous improvement in our services.

-We offer ( For Free) lodging location service in hostels in the Provinces of Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and Havana.
-We offer cleaning service change of bedding with a daily frequency, and change of towels at the request of the guest, included in the price of the room.
-We offer ( For Free) luggage transfer service to and from the rooms.
- We offer FREE Internet access from any part of the hostel including the rooms (you don't need an ETECSA card).
-We offer ( For Free) an antique piano for guests who wish to play.
-We offer a service (Free) for Guest Reception at the Viazul Terminal or any pick-up point that you indicate. The guest must explicitly say that he/she wants to be received at the Viazul Terminal, the reception includes accompaniment and a guide of the guest to our house (7 blocks) but it does not include transportation if the guest wants a car he/she will have to pay for it.
- The rooms for guests are at a distance greater than 30 meters from the street to avoid the noise of this.
- Each bed has its mosquito net.
- The Hostal is located at 500 meters from the Main Square of Cienfuegos Marti Park, at 600 meters from the Cienfuegos´ Malecon, at 50 meters from Ice Cream Shop Coppelia, at150 meters from the Cienfuegos´ Boulevard, at 500 meters from the San Luis Corridor ", at 700 meters from the Viazul Bus Station, all these places can be reached without effort.
- We offer a small Gym, which has a bench with weights (up to 200 pounds on disks), dumbbells,s and different types of bars on the roof of the house for guests who wish to perform exercises with weights.

House Rules
The payment of the stay will be in Euros or USdollar, we don't accept CUP ( Cuban Pesos).
Cuban laws require that only those people who have their passport can be accommodated in the hostel, a photocopy is not enough.
Colonial Villaverde Hostel is not the most suitable place for those guests looking for sexual-tourism. Cuban escorts are not allowed.
We would enjoy it if the guests participated in the care of nature: Plants and animals that are in the hostel.
Sometimes there will be guests of different nationalities in the hostel, it is important to maintain a respectful behavior towards other people and not offend them through actions, gestures or words because when we share in a climate of respect and consideration we are happier.
It will be appreciated that guests do not make loud noises or hold loud conversations or play loud music at sleep times (after 10 p.m.) that may disturb other guests or neighbors.
We would love that people do not smoke inside the rooms but only in the corridor area and in the area of the Terrace of the Hostel, because maybe the next guest who occupies your room would not enjoy the smell of the cigar so much.
It would be very good if people did not throw papers in the sanitary cup, the waste systems of the city of Cienfuegos date from many years, their care is a task of great importance, in each bathroom there is a small container next to the sanitary cup where these papers will be collected and will be collected every day or as often as the guest wishes.
We would love that if guests wish to use the air conditioner do so with the windows and doors properly closed, especially the windows that correspond to the bathroom.
Guests should only use the air conditioning, fan or electric light when they are in the room (except for one hour before bedtime) as this in addition to caring for and extending the useful life of the equipment in order to be longer and In better conditions, at the service of other guests, it would save electricity, which is obtained through the combustion of hydrocarbons, an aspect that damages Nature and the Environment.
We would enjoy it if the guests did not dry the wet or wet clothes with the fan or the air conditioning, on the roof, there are strings, also there is always a lot of suns and a lot of wind, aspects that guarantee a fast and excellent drying of the clothes.
When guests go up to the Terrace and/or Gymnasium of the Hostel they should avoid looking inside the neighboring houses or perform actions that somehow affect the privacy of the neighbors.
Guests who do not evaluate the experience through the website cannot stay at the hostel again.

I had such a lovely stay at Miriam's! Her entire family was helpful, welcoming and so dear. When I arrived, the town was experiencing rolling black outs, but they had a generator which they made sure to have on for me. They made me an awesome breakfast in the morning and helped me to book my private transportation to my next stop. I'd absolutely stay here again!

La atención de Miriam y Pedro es excelente, tienen una casa muy bonita y muy bien ubicada. La habitación es muy confortable y el desayuno muy rico. Pedro es un gran anfitrión ya que nos ayudo y asesoró en todo momento, disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia en Cienfuegos y en la casa!!! El barcito que tienen a unas pocas cuadras sobre el Paseo del Prado es muy bonito y a buenos precios. Muy recomendable Casa Verde!!!! Gabriela y Marcelo (Argentina)

Otra elección perfecta durante nuestros 15 días en Cuba. Pedro y Miriam cuidaron muy bien de nosotras. Desayuno rico y muy buen ambiente. Buena localización para visitar los lugares de interés de Cienfuegos. Nos ayudaron a organizar nuestra parada en El Nicho y el traslado a Trinidad. La habitación muy limipia y el hostal cuenta con generador en caso de apagón.

We loved staying with Miriam and Pedro! The room had a beautiful, giant pink bougainvillea on the patio and was thoughtfully designed with conveniences that made our stay very comfortable. Pedro and Miriam were delightful, very funny, warm, and helpful in recommending good restaurants, bars, and other interesting spots in Cienfuegos. They accommodated all our requests including a delicious ham and cheese omelette for breakfast. They are terrific and caring hosts and we would love to return.

Miriam y Pedro son unos excelentes anfitriones. Estuvimos encantados en su casa, cómoda, céntrica y gracias a ellos muy acogedora. Nos asesoraron de maravilla en relación a la ciudad y sus opciones, especialmente la comida en Casa Prado que nos pareció fantástica. Lo recomiendo a todo aquel que quiera viajar a Cienfuegos.

Great stay in Cienfugos by Miriam and Pedro. They are very welcoming and kind, obliging and helpful.They have a beautiful family and their little son is great. They welcome us with big smiles and a fresh cold juice . They give us good advices and take care of us like friends.The breakfast was served on the terrace and was delicious .We recommend this house and family without any hesitation . Thank you

The experience of having had Gery's family at home I can qualify as excellent, magnificent and very special, they were friendly, kind, nice, affectionate, respectful, communicative, cheerful, polite and very good guests, They kept the room/house in perfect condition and respected the rules of the house, has been nice having them at home and we have felt very good about them.

I had a wonderful stay in Cienfuegos, thanks to Miriam and Pedro! They made all the possible to make it even better, they gave good tips where to visit and what to see in Cienfuegos and helped organize taxis etc... They made me feel very welcomed to their home, which was centrally located, just around the corner from Paseo El Prado, yet it was quiet and cosy. The room was really good, with a nice bathroom. And the breakfasts were huge and tasty, yum! Thank you, muchas gracias! Y saludos a Jorgito =)

How do I book?
Contact the host about your stay - tell them a little about yourself, why you are staying and ask any questions you have about their homestay. You will be able to book immediately after sending your message.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
