We welcome you in our encatadora house in the center of Baracoa, near the church of Our Lady Asuncion and the Malecon. It is a room with colors, with plenty of space, air conditioning and refrigerator. new bathroom with towels. Large terrace outside.
Ramon Jr. is a biologist, offers excursions (Anvil, Alejandro de Humboldt Park, Canyon Yumurí other lovely sites).
You can dine with typical and fresh produce. Breakfast $ 4.00 CUC (milk, bread, butter, fruit, cheese, honey, Sumo fruit, coffee or tea)
We speak Spanish and English.

Ramon und Mima sind sehr, sehr nett und um ihre Gäste bemüht. Ramon spricht ganz gut Englisch, das hilft sehr bei Problemen, wenn man kein Spanisch spricht. Das Haus lieg günstig, nicht zu nah am Zentrum, aber alles ist fußläufig gut erreichbar.
Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, das Bad ebenfalls. Ganz toll ist die Dachterasse- allerdings nur, wenn man volle Sonne verträgt- es gibt noch keinen Sonnenschutz...January 2018
If you need a babysitter, someone who checks in on you even after you've gone to bed, Ramon is your man.
To be fair, they are a really nice couple that are keen to take care of their guests. They base their cost on the trust that you'll engage and pay them for further services, while of course they see you as part of the family. If you're an independent traveller who just gets on alone and just need a cheap place to stay, you may feel a little monitored and I wouldn't recommend this to you.
I also think Ramon is a little confused at times, he unlocked my room after I'd just gone to bed, thinking I need help. Although it was dead quite. He backed off right away, but it made me feel very uncomfortable as a single female traveller. His English wasn't good enough to debate this properly and he got offended when I said I'd leave early as I didn't feel comfortable.
So it's up to you what you need.

Ramon and his wife are very friendly and helpful hosts. Ramon speaks english and loves to chat with his visitors. The room is spacious and very clean with a big private terrace. Son, Ramon JR. will be your private( proffessional) guide for the things to do in the Baracoa aerea. He is great company.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
