Our Natural and Rustic Getaway is located 1.5 km from La Fortuna downtown in the Arenal Volcano region, on the way to get to La Fortuna waterfall.
We are a couple of nature lovers, our wood cabin is located inside one thousand square meters with tropical fruits trees and gardens, we share the lot with Dalila, our very friendly dog and a fish bowl.
Inside the house there is a small terrace with 2 sofas and barbecue area, wood balcony, living room-kitchen, bathroom with hot water shower and laundry area. The room for our homeguests has one double bed and one single bed, clothes hanging area and own door with wood balcony facing the little forest next to the house.
We love to help our homeguests to enjoy our beautiful hometown and all the touristic attractions nearby, we have been working on tourism for many years, so we are glad to share all our tips. Spanish, English and Italian lenguages spoken.

About the Area
Our house is located just 3 km from La Fortuna waterfall and just 1,5 km from La Fortuna downtown. So it offers a very quiet area and is close to supermarkets, banks and all the services of La Fortuna town.

Ivette and Javier were so welcoming and such fun people to stay with! We had many meaningful conversations with them. They were caring, making sure we made the most of our time in La Fortuna, and offered us with many suggestions for activities to do there as well as in San Jose, our destination after La Fortuna. We would love to connect with them again in the future!

Yvette et Javier sont un couple très sympathique et accueillant.
Leur maison est située dans une zone tranquille, à l'écart du centre ville, qui est, lui, très (trop) animé et bruyant.
Nous nous y sommes sentis comme en famille.

Staying with Ivette and Javier is like staying with your family. They offered me breakfast and dinner while I stayed their. Their dogs are lovely. They have a small pond with fish as well as hammocks on the back porch that overlook Arenal Volcano. Their house is right next door to a cacao plantation tour as well as a coffee shop owned by a glorious man named Mathias who will teach you all about great coffee...for free. La Fortuna waterfall is 5 minutes away as is the downtown. The only reason you will be sad if you stay here is because eventually, you will have to leave.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
