We are a couple that lives in the historic center of the capital of Colombia. Ana, is a jovial, quiet person, who likes reading, good food and dancing, is a lawyer. Phil, he's French, he's a biology teacher, he loves music, nature, dancing tango and salsa and meeting people. We both like to travel.
We want to share our house, because it is spacious (250m2), in turn, share and have something of different culture and opinions. We do not like to receive many people very often, that's why we reject most of the demands.
We have a small coffee farm near Bogota (traditional agricultural area, nature and good walk), during your stay you can visit and stay at that without additional cost.

    GRACIAS ANA !!!

My stay with Ana was wonderful, she really helped me familiarise myself with the city and I loved my time in the Candelaria! I staying for 2 weeks (not more). The bedroom was great, large with a comfy double bed, and I was able to use their beautiful kitchen too. I was taking Spanish lessons during those 2 weeks and the house was ideally situated on 2 Transmi lines, and in an area of the city which is awesome to explore in the day and the evening!

This homestay was very good - largely because Ana is such a helpful and friendly host. On arrival, she met me at the airport and once we got to her area (Candelaria) took me for a walking tour , explaining all the main sights. She also went with me to the tourist office to book a free walking tour with them, which covered a bigger area and different topics, like more history and gastronomy. The location of her house is excellent as it's within walking distance of many of the main attractions (including museums, main square and Montserrate) and the Candelaria area is really interesting and has all the services you could wish for. Ana also helped me with the transmilenio transport system - telling me the best routes and accompanying me on one occasion to the station and giving me the electronic card you use on it.
She provided breakfast and got in touch several times before I got to Bogota, answering any questions I had, confirming arrival details and explaining that there was a temporary issue with water supply owing to a problem in the general area - this didn't affect us too much as the house has both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, and the downstairs one did have water. In any case the problem was only for a short period.
The house itself is pretty big and they are in the process of renovating it. My room was a good size and had everything you need.
Thanks Ana - this was my first ever homestay and you made it a good experience, so for sure it won't be my last!

I had an amazing time with Ana. The location is perfect for exploring the Candelaria and there a great view over the city from the kitchen. Ana and her flat mates were so kind and I consider them friends now, I'll definitely be going back! There was no breakfast included but when Ana realised the miscommunication she took me out to breakfast, her shout! The shower wasn't great (quite cold) but overall doesn't stop me from recommending you stay here
