I love to meet people from different cultures. I am a high school English teacher. I love reading and traveling and cooking. The bedroom you will be staying is half basement with a big bay window above ground level. It has a twin bed, full closet, study desk and bookshelf. You will be sharing the bathroom with my 19-year-old daughter. This place is for female student only. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy public transit. Bus #2 is only one block away and takes you directly to downtown Vancouver in 30 minutes. R4 bus goes to Canada Line (East bound) or UBC (West bound) in 10-15 minutes passing the scenic Pacific Spirit Park along the way. We are within walking distance of the historical town of Kerrisdale with local business, public library, swimming pool and lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. You are welcome to watch the big smart TV in the family room. Although food is not included in the homestay fee, we can work out a meal plan. Otherwise, you’re welcome to share the full kitchen with our family.

The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood with easy public transit. Bus #2 is only one block away and takes you directly to downtown Vancouver in 25 minutes. R4 rapid bus connects with Canada Lin at Oakridge Center. It's ideal for UBC students living off campus with 15 minutes ride passing the scenic Pacific Spirit Park along the way. The house is within walking distance to the historical town of Kerrisdale with cozy coffee shops, public library, swimming pool and lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
