About the Homestay

Relax in your private room in a comfortable double or single bed. Most rooms are on the bright TOP FLOOR or Main Floor of a 100 year old Heritage House. There are also rooms on the ground floor and one on the main floor. Each room has a dresser, desk, chair and locking door. Bedding and towels provided. Wash and Dry clothes on-site in the shared laundry machines.
Make yourself at home and cook in the full kitchen, hang out on the couch in the shared living room. Ground Floor Guests (3 total) use the Ground Floor Kitchen and other Guests (6 total) use the Main Floor Kitchen.
There are three fridges so each guest will have a shelf to use
Share three bathrooms with other housemates.

Get Downtown in 12 minutes on the Skytrain.
Walk 3 minutes to Vancouver's main transit hub, The Commercial-Broadway Skytrain Station.
Buy groceries less than a 10 minute walk away.
I am warm and welcoming but will give you lots of space and privacy. This is perfect for very independent guests who are at least 19 years old. I will be there to answer questions and to give directions.
Share a kitchen, bathroom and living room with other guests. Everyone is responsible to clean up after themselves and to keep their own rooms clean.

Must follow the health and safety guidelines and recommendations as outlined on the BC Centre For Disease Control Website regarding communicable diseases. www.bccdc.ca.
Must clean up immediately after using any common space including the kitchen, dinning room, living room, and bathroom. this includes washing all kitchen items used, washing surfaces and sweeping.
Must follow all recycling procedures as outlined by the City of Vancouver as described on their website.
Must take your own garbage and recycling to the back lane as required.
Must keep all personal belongings contained to your own room.
Absolutely no cooking of any kind in your bedroom.
Do not keep any food in your bedroom.
All food must be stored in rodent-proof bins or packaging
The kitchen and dinning room are the only places inside the house where eating is permitted.
Absolutely no burning of any kind, including; no smoking, no candles, no incense, no lighters, no matches, etc…
Must keep the front and back doors locked at all times.
Parties and multiple guests are not permitted.
Outdoor shoes are not to be worn inside the house.
Must keep your bedroom clean and must wash bedding at least every two weeks. Must vacuum, mop, dust, wipe surfaces & empty garbage once per week.
Must make sure that the shower curtains are closed tight to the wall when showering so that no water escapes to the floor.
No illicit drugs permitted on site.
No pets permitted
Must observe quiet hours between 10:00pm and 8:00am.
Loud music not permitted.
Lost key fee is $75.00
If you get a fake tan, you must use your own sheets.
Do not take bath towels out of the house. (Buy your own beach and pool towels).
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
Must be respectful to all other occupants, trades people, and the landlord.
Any illegal activity or illegal items are not permitted.
Copyright infringement is not permitted through the internet. (ie: no illegal downloading of any kind).

Trish's place is nice. The location is very convenient (15 min to downtown by train). Price is reasonable. I did not have any problems.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) and a 25% deposit using a choice of payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. The deposit is collected in advance on behalf of the host to protect against no show or late cancellations (within 7 days of arrival). You then pay your host the balance due on arrival. The 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. This deposit payment will only be refunded if you cancel the booking at least 7 full days prior to arrival.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
