Large family home close to downtown and public transit . This newly built suite has just been renovated and is now available for guests.
Family of four in four storey, century old character home in East Vancouver with view of Burrard Inlet and North Shore mountains. You will be staying in our newly built, garden level, two bedroom suite with eight foot ceilings huge south and north facing windows as well as patios. Heated floors, in suite laundry, freestanding gas fireplace, all new appliances. Dinner with the family is optional at extra cost. Otherwise you have access to your own kitchen. We are a mostly vegetarian family who love to cook and prepare divinely inspired fresh food. In the summer we grow much of our own produce in our backyard.
One beloved cat also lives with us upstairs but does not have access to garden suite.
There is a fully equipped Pilates studio in our home and MANY musical instruments. Music and movement is our livelihood. We love to travel. English is the main language spoken in our home but we also speak French fluently. In the summer we enjoy eating dinner outside and often invite neighbours at the last minute. We are an active family who do our best to infuse our life with Yoga, Vedic philosophy, and joy.

About the Area
Our house is located in East Vancouver in a family friendly neighbourhood. We live close to bicycle routes, bus routes, skytrain. It is easy to get anywhere in the city by public transit and bicycle from our home. Several bus stops are less than a five minute walk away. Our neighbourhood is culturally rich and is home to many, cafes, bars, bakeries (even gluten free!), Italian Delicatessens, restaurants as well as banks, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. Just a fifteen minute walk away is Commercial Drive which is also known for its boutiques and specialty shops.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Please keep our home secure and be sure front and back doors are locked when leaving.
If you need help adjusting the heat or need anything please be sure to ask.
If you choose to join us for dinner you are welcome to help with dinner preparation but otherwise the upstairs kitchen is for family use only. You do have access to your very own newly built kitchen for your own meal preparation any time you like.
Keep noise to a minimum after 10PM. We will do the same.
Please do not invite people we have not yet met into our home without asking us first.
Please do not smoke in our home.
Smoking is not allowed.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
