Your homestay host Lida and Jim welcome you to Toronto. Want to get a taste of the best things to do in Toronto? I am more than happy to provide tips and advice on the best things to see and do in Toronto and in the Bloor Court Village area. We enjoy sports and cooking but always look forward to meeting new people.
Jim is 65.He plays a lot of tennis.
Lida is 60. She is a stay home mom. She likes cooking.
Lida has her daughter living at home. She is 15 years old.

Staying at Lida's house was a total pleasure, I had a good time in comfortable conditions with delicious food. Lida's whole family is friendly and welcoming. Great location with convenient access to the city center. I sincerely recommend Lida for choosing as a host family.

It was such a great stay here! Lida is super nice, friendly and kind. I really appreciate her. She helped me a lot and shared lots of good information. She tried her best to make me feel comfortable staying there. I'm so grateful for meeting her. Thank you Lida!

"My daughter, Matilde (17-year-old), stayed at Lida's house for 6 months to attend a semester at Jarvis College. All went well. The house is comfortable and clean, Lida and all her family are hospitable and friendly in the right way. The house is located in a nice area near the lake, and well connected by underground to reach downtown. Definitely recommended."

This is the only negative review that I got so far. This review came after I did my review about this girl, which I was very true about that. It was hard dealing with her at the first place. My mistake, that I didn’t collect the money when she arrived, and she was postponing the payment every day. Than she paid me via PayPal and I was charged for her payment. She paid less, only 1/3 of it. Than she told me that her grandmother is very sick and she needed to go back, but It turned out that she didn’t go. Than she told me that her parents came to Toronto, which they didn’t. Everyday single day she will go out about 6am and come back literally 12 or 1 am. I had to wait for her bc she was very young. She was given breakfast every day, but she didn’t want to eat. She wanted a shake and a blender was provided to her. She was never ever at home during the day, to use the kitchen. Etc etc. It turned out that I wasn’t payed in full.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
